I think a lot of review outlets have learned from GTA4 and are a bit more conservative when scoring games now, especially hyped ones.
But yeah, infamous deserves at least a 9.
It definitely deserves it. The fact that infamous is getting great reviews and it's a new IP says a lot IMO.

The last PS3 exclusive (MLB 09) got an 87 from IGN but metacritic of 90.
Anyways, glad to see infamous is getting good reviews, but I knew I would be getting this day one before I had my PS3.
Yeah, infamous 2 will automatically get at least 5 points higher even if it's exactly the same.
So far I've seen one review from OPM UK, which gave it a 9.

^ stop pretending that MS announces their games a few months before they come out. Look at their recent games aside from Gears 2 (which was still announced around 10 months before it came out)... Halo Wars, Halo:ODST, Alan Wake, Banjo: Nuts and Bolts, and any other first party game of theirs. I wouldn't expect a huge game to be announced and then released within a couple months from either camp.
Where's Halo and Alan Wake? Guess it's not "official", but it's pretty obvious at least Halo will be there.
Bionic Commando comes out on consoles before E3, but the PC version will come out after... that's why it only has PC listed.

There definitely are jaggies, especially in some of the shadows. You can sometimes see them really easy on Cole if you're standing still and the area behind him is bright, but it's not noticeable the majority of the time.
I do like how they people react to you, though. One time I healed someone and a woman nearby got on her cell phone and was saying "Guess who I'm next to? Yeah, he's right here!".. it was funny.

Considering reading N4G doesn't require you to sit at the computer for 24 hours every day, I'm sure he's found time to play games.
Well... Rare is due for an announcement, and hopefully it's not too casual. I also hope we see some Alan Wake. That's all I'm really looking for from MS.. anything else I'm interested in will be icing on the cake.

I agree with you about open-world games, though. I'm really not into them much anymore. However, the infamous demo played like a single player game with a HUGE level.
