KZ2 like Halo was hyped simply for being exclusive. Play MW2 for a day, and then go back to KZ2 and you'll be disappointed. Even by the visuals. MW2 is the closest to photorealism I've seen. If KZ2 had been multiplatform it would have scored 8 on a 10-point (Halo 3 a 7).
This is bad for the consumer, no excuses. My 360 died 2 times in 3 years and I paid nothing. My 60 gig PS3 died once and I ended up paying $160. Trying to justify this is plain fanboyism. Yes, I love my PS3, but try to be fair when posting stuff.
As a 60 gig PS3 owner and 20 gig 360 owner I'm very surprised. I was thinking MS was doomed until the release of Natal. It seems that they know what they're doing after all. Before PS3 fans come up with excuses, just say MS did a good job and move on. These internet fanboy wars are becoming very silly!
Play MW2 then go back to KZ2 and you'll be disappointed. KZ2 has been overhyped. If this title had been Multi-platform (with the same visuals) it would have scored an 8 (of 10). Reviews tend to be higher for exclusives on all platforms. Halo was never all that (neither was MGS4 or kZ2).
If these were fair shots, then 360 wins. I was getting the 360 version for online anyway. Nothing PS3 owners should feel bad about, though, since they look almost identical. Some argued that MW1 looked better on PS3, so 1 to 1. That they look the same reveals good commitment by the developer since the 360 version will most likely sell double what the PS3 sells.
Does anyone know if 1080p will work with the older 360s without HDMI? I though 1080p movies via component are not authorized.
KZ2 (which I own) great game, but visuals are way overrated. Articles like this make people dumb. Do the math, 512 GPU for one and 256 x2 for the other. Disk size could make games bigger but at any given time visuals will look the same. Also, Kz2 took forever to program for. I got my PS3 in 2007 and KZ2 was the second game I bought for the console. Say what you want, but that's not good. Also, God of War 3, and games like that (Heavenly Sword, DMC, Ninja Blade) are waaay overrated. Comparing ...
I own both 360 and PS3. My Xbox has died 3 times. My PS3 once, after a year. My PS3 repair was 160 with tax. On the plus side, I got a nicer unit (no scratches, etc.). I do wish PS3 had a longer warranty though; I probably logged 60 hours playing games since 2007 before it died. I did use it a lot for BR movies. Over all more reliable, but $160 was a bit painful.
(it started freezing after 5 minutes of power)
A year or so this happened to me. They were selling a game as new then they go to the drawer to get the disk. They assured the game was wasn't used. Then I asked myself, if I open a game but not play it would they take it back? I walked out of the store...
I was excited to get this game. It is fun, no doubt. But it's way over-rated, like Halo, MGS4, etc. I did expect it to sell more. Not good. By the way, I think it killed my PS3 (waiting to get it back).
I’m having a hard time saying that KZ2 looks better than Gears. It does not. Granted, both games have a very different feel and look to them, but some of the arguments made here are valid. Many stages are dark, and enclosed. The intro looks amazing but is not actual game-play.
The game is addictive and would shine even more with co-op. The lack of co-op places it behind Gears. Co-op is standard. The PSN experience is inferior to XBL (start using your Bluetooth people) but free. Aga...
Ok, my KZ2 should arrive on Friday, I believe it will look better than Gears. But this pictures were chosen to make Gears look bad. Gears looks really good, and I believe is better than MGS4. I am looking forward to playing KZ2, but be fair.
Games always get better; coders learn new tricks. GPU-wise the 360 is clearly superior to ps3. CPU-wise it's the other way around. The difference is that 360 games started looking good a while ago, while the PS3 is now showing its potential.
If you own both consoles you would get the 360 version anyway for Xbox Live and achievements. The PS3 version looks as good as the 360 one.
First, I already ordered the game. But this game wasn't easy to develop. Second, companies do not have to cater to hardware manufacturers. It's the other way around.
Interesting how no credible source has stated this. All have stated that the game looks good, but exactly the same thing was said about GoW2. I'll believe it when I get my copy on the 27th.
The idea of systems being around for a long time is good for the company, not gamers. If Apple stated something like, "IPOD 80 will last 6 years" without upgrades, consumers would be very disappointed. I stopped playing my PS2 in 2003, when graphics looked pathetic. Expect the same for PS3 and 360 graphics, both 512 GPUs (PS3 actually 256 + 256). Systems should deliver the goods ASAP, not several years after launch. I have owned the 360 since 2006, and the PS3 since 2007, and only ...
I invite you to read all the technical comparisons and arrive at you own conclusion. As I said, I own both. The PS3 is very nice and sleek. And it doesn't die (2 of my Xboxes died). The 360 controller is much better, and most games look better on it. Very few exceptions; keep in mind that they also take less to program. The Marketplace is better on 360 (by far). Free online on PS3; sweet. Achievements on 360; sweet. Blu-Ray-awesome. HD DVD (yes I also bought this) crap. Gears of War- great! M...
Yes, Xbox360 can handle MGS4. There is nothing in the game, that can't be done. The only difference would be multiple disks (unless you compress audio). Look at the facts; 360 handles more polys. At least in GPU, the 360 has an edge. Read MGS4 reviews; they say it's a beautiful game, but none say "these are the best graphics" etc. Also, the fact that a game takes 4 years to develop is not a complement. Yes it is a monster, but that's not always a good thing. Now, I love my PS3; spec...
1. Not all 13 games can be good.
2. If this were an exclusive (Xbox or PS3) it would get a higher score. Pay attention to how exclusives always get better reviews.
