The main sites have been payed for good reviews well in advance by Microsoft and or EA. So don't expect to see much but 10's and 9's from the big names.
Buying reviews is nothing new. And this game has way, way more hype than it deserves. Is it a good fun game? Probably by the sounds of it, as long as you're an FPS fan. Is it the game of the generation that will redefine everything? I sincerely hope not, or our expectations are seriously low.

Do people honestly expect to see a console with 20 or 30 exclusive titles right at launch in a day and age where games take 3 to 5 years to complete and can cost hundreds of millions of dollars?
This isn't 1996 any more and those days aren't coming back. The development cycle is getting to be more complex than ever. And new consoles will always feel light compared to a previous generation with hundreds if not thousands of titles.

Do they really? Because I would argue that advertising is Microsofts weakest point. They barely advertise, and when they do it's laughable. I remember when Apple was humiliating them again and again with their I'm a mac ads. At the time Microsoft made a big deal about this ad they were doing with Jerry Seinfeld. And it came out, and left everyone scratching their heads. I can count the time I've seen a Microsoft ad on tv one hand.

Well, I'm sure all those Xbox one gamers are still excitedly playing the super mega hit launch title Ryse. I'm sure Ryse will have sales approaching double digit numbers when the Xbone releases in Japan.
Because as you know, having one extra launch title in addition to all the same multiplats means that the PS4 has no games, and the Xbox just has tons of games.
It's too late. The Xbox is a turkey on it's specs and price, and people aren't fooled. The lying and the fear of always on drm coming back aren't doing them any favors either.
