Remember that awesome kinect game, oh and remember all those AAA games that kinect redefined, and how it shook the gaming industry with innovation?
Oh, right we got kinect star wars and fighter within, and kinect still sucks as much as it ever did, and does nothing for the primary function of the console. But that would make it a gimmick as you defined it.
Oh, that's probably because it is a gimmick... Thanks for helping clarify that point.

Utterly destroying it would probably be a better description.
Really, I should shell out $60 for a game I'm not interested in, published by a company I don't approve of or buy PC games from because I should "just play the game"?
This is why the gaming industry is churning out shit. Because people give their money to these companies to buy the same garbage over and over for $60.
I don't like small map derivative console FPS games. I don't like EA. I don't like and won't support EA'...
So, you would define being a gamer as shelling out hundreds of dollars to try a gaming system that does not appeal to you in any way, just so you can say "tried it and don't like it?"
This is how these companies keep churning out shit and feeding it to people. Because they keep buying it.
Saying Ryse, a 4 hour linear hack and slash that costs $60, and got reviews as low as 4 out of 10, is a great game. Well, that leads me to the conclusion tha...
That's not a fanboy comment. That's a hardcore delusional, potential mental patient who may even be a danger to himself and others.
Complete failure to cope with reality.
And yet, everyone who lists how many games the Xbox one has mentions Kinect sports and Fighter Within proudly, as some of the so called amazing wealth of games to play on the Xbox.
Let's be real. The only exclusive games the Xbox has that are worth playing are Titanfall, and maybe Forza. But Forza is a racing game, and that's very niche. Dead Rising and Killer instinct? yawn. Ryse? A complete joke.
PS4 has Killzone, Knack, and this week Infamous....
The PS3 caused the PS3 to lose 40% of their previous install base. They were a year late, $200 too expensive, and arrogant as fuck. Plus they took a long time to get going and get developers using the potential of the console
Xbox had nothing to do with it. Much like Xbox one is causing itself to be second place to the PS4.
That being said, I still expect PS3 could hit 100 million as it gets even cheaper and there are so many games to play on Playstation ...
I was just about to point out that it was in the UK where the Xbox is selling about as well as Hitler themed underpants. Or pants if you wan't to be a stickler for British English. Also it was accompanied by a price drop there.
It won't raise by 96% worldwide.
I could get it on PC right now. I still wouldn't. Made a commitment to never buy an EA game on Origin for one. And not interested in playing COD with mechs either.
Pretty tough to IP ban people with dynamic IP's. Also would potentially lead to false blocking in the case of IP reuse for an ISP's other customers.
Just perma ban their Xbox live account instead. And ban it completely from all games after multiple offences.
Great Idea, they can go for the worst company in the world award instead of just the United States. It's good to have goals.
I think it's going to be a 3-5 million seller on the 360. And a 500-900k seller on the PC. 900k to maybe 1.4 million on the Xbox One.
These are my pulled out of thin air predictions.
Since Arkham origins sucked I honestly thought Rocksteady had moved on and the Arkham series was done. So a next gen only Batman by Rocksteady is actually pretty awesome news.
Man people are starting to really chomp at the bit and get antsy though. Really neither system has anything that mind blowing in 2014 to be honest. So to me Batman is kind of the most promising title of 2014 at the moment.
So many delays really, it's disappointing. Witcher I tho...
Kinect, you are the incredibly clumsy counter intuitive controller...
That the system can't understand... Oh and you have the privilege of paying $100 more whether you want to be or not.
If EA has any sense at all, they have some kind of a clause in the contract that states the game must sell X amount of units or dollars in profit by date Y or they retain the right to pursue other platforms.
Also it needs to be $299 for the kinect-less SKU.
That MIGHT get them back in it. But it still wouldn't put them ahead.
No no no no, Fighter within is a better game because it's a retail exclusive! Really it is, did you forget to put your Xbox logic cap on? (Hit yourself on the head with a cast iron pan for five minutes to achieve Xbox logic).
Nice to see how Kinect is working out so much better as a forced purchase, and not being used to make trash games no one wants like it was on the 360 huh?
Oh right... Nevermind.
You wanna know why?
Because it's coming back. Ideas are bulletproof, and they didn't suddenly decide they are okay with used games. They put things on pause because they were about to get pole axed if they didn't.
They are just wracking their brains right now waiting for the right time and way to make everyone see that their always on DRM is a good idea so they can flip the switch back the other direction.
Basically if the Xbox s...
And it's really over for MS now until the next big thing they will be banking on for sales. What is that exactly? Halo? When is that again? No word I'm aware of.
Yep, they have all the multiplats like destiny, The division, watch dogs. And they are all going to be better on the PS4.
I can't wait actually to see what everyone pins their hopes and dreams on to save the Xbox next when Titanfall doesn't do it.
