WOW! The game developer has some balls to do this. Especially, in the age of political correctness and those annoying NFWS

PC gaming on the other hand is kicking ass. I was broke last year so I missed out on Planet Coaster 😫. I really enjoyed Offworld Trading Company and The Revolution 1979. I also bought Abzu but I have not played it yet. Last year, it was a couple of indie horror games: monstroum, Fran Bow, Enola, etc. I also enjoyed crimson clover. 2014 was the best year of this generation for me; just look at these games:

Among the Sleep
Outlast
Consortium
...

2017 looks to be a good year. Can't wait for Ark Survival Evolve to go from Early Access to official release. I am about to play Detention (survival horror🤓). Torment tides of numera releases on my birthday :-D. 2016 I was poor but did enjoy Off world trading company. I am aware I missed out Planet Coaster :'(

True, but it cannot be denied that today's games heavily rely on DLC and microtransanctions. That most games are pushing forward for a more passive gaming experience; as opposed, to a more interactive experience. When was the last time a game offered mini games, free unlockables, map editors, mini quests, side quests, etc. The only games that offered some of those features are PC games and the only mainstream game that offers all of those features this generation is The Witcher 3. Today...

I do not agree, gaming should be engaging not just fun. I am glad that this generation is releasing some new ips (Watchdogs franchise, planet coaster, off world trading company). I just wish gaming would go back to trying new ideas, new ways to play games, and to take more risks. Gaming is a multi-billion dollar business but is a creative business not a firm nor a paper pushing industry. As a creative business it needs not just new ips but new ideas and new ways of playing games.
Pe...

This reminds me of myself. I am an old school console gamer, when consoles used to be cool. When consoles offered a wide variety of gaming, full up to the brim with content inside the game (no DLC or microtransanction bullshit), lots of mini games not just side quests. When consoles were true plug and play: no silly account, install to hard drive, or install update/patches. The purpose of consoles was simplicity, affordability, and ease of use. Today's consoles are just outdated, low end...

For example, have the 3 console manufacturers make their consoles in America not China.

I really don't see torment tides of numera on consoles. It really is a PC game not a game designed for mainstream gaming.

The PC offers pretty much a very huge library with great variety

Why do multiplatform games cost so much. I wish it was $20.00 due to being a platformer

Oh no! You mean to tell me, there will be gamers trying to defend this. That will be awful

On PC and mobile devices is free to play online. Game developers do not need to pay a corporation to run their own servers in sync with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. Basically, the game developer can run their own servers how they see fit on PC and mobile. PC gamers do not need to worry about a paywall

Aaaaaargggghhh!!!! Please no articles defending or justifying paying to play online. Seriously, even if gamers were to pay to play online; gamers still need to pay for an internet service provider. The ISP is in complete control of the gamers' experience from bandwidth, speed, capacity, etc. Not the console manufacturers; worse AAA/indie gamedevelopers pay console manufacturers to use their own servers to run in sync with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo servers. So no enough with gamers and...

Ouch! How much is it to buy a PS4 Pro with PlayStation Plus?

Damn, the Aussies pay a shit ton of money for their games

PC western games are very complex and no hand holding. Perfect example rts games or simulation games. The one thing I hate about the switch is the whole idea of pay to play online. Its the internet service provider not console manufacturer that dictates the gamers' online experience. I am interested in JRPGS.
