I don't mind, the current console gaming business model is no longer viable. The consoles have 5 year old technology making game developers greedy by making games extremely short and cinematic instead of interactive complete with next-generation animation.

Bullshit, should of made a version of this game specific for PC. The fact that it was made only with consoles in mind shows how the PC is held back.
Good question paying $400.00 for a console then 2 years later pay another $400.00 for the upgraded version is an expensive endeavor

The reviewers and game journalists are in favor of this and make it sound that is ok and good for the gamer. I have yet to hear a game journalist against microtransanctions. They even fought against pc gamers in regards to paid mods. PC gamers were against paid mods but the gaming media insisted to not fight back and take it. We have no official voice that helps gamers that is the problem.
That will never happen when your customer is so gullible and corporate loyal. Please don't hurt their favorite multibillion dollar corporation.

I like the article and I agree with it except for the fact that Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, and even Valve are against AO rated games or games that offered interactive full frontal nudity sexual intercourse. For example, Valve censored House Party an early access game that offered full frontal nudity sexual intercourse. Agony may get censored to avoid the AO rating 😕
Agreed with the article but will gamers finally stop buying games that are littered with microtransanctions and loot boxes. If is a new ip yes, but game developers are smarter than that and will put all the microtransanctions and loot boxes on popular gaming franchises or gaming brands like Call of Duty, Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield, Metal Gear, etc. Those games sell regardless of criticism, explanation, etc. Gamers are too loyal to those franchises.....
Dump the restrictive console hardware in favor of digital distribution.

The modded Call of Duty will match the trailer that is for sure just look at the modded versions of gta V, fallout 4, the witcher 3, etc. Those games look very photorealistic once modded because game developers refused to utilize the PC to its full capacity.
That will suck considering is supposed to be the most powerful console.
Please let the PC look like the bloody ass trailers. More likely it will be modders once again putting to shame game developers once the modded version of Call of Duty releases. NVIDIA Gameworks which can deliver those effects lighting, facial animations, grime etc. with NVIDIA GTX 10 series already capable of delivering this type of visuals but because it will make consoles ancient game developers still refuse to utilize the full power of the PC.
