No way in hell. I will bet a hundred bucks it's closer to the more popular "leaked" images. As other people have said - old fakes, ugly, completely botched! BAD DESIGN, BAD DESIGN, BAD DESIGN! There's no way this came out of Sony.
Musclebound space marines have been done to death ever since Doom, and many of Epic's games that came before Gears featured the same hulking character models. The style certainly quit standing out long before gears came along.
They could have at least put it in a commercial that didn't suck.

I'm not sure I buy this. In that comparison video, the race starts before the progress bar is even full in the video without the ad. I've never had that happen, and I've been playing this game almost every day for six months.

They already have Call of Duty Headquarters. It's like the Killzone Command Center. One website that concerns all the titles in the series. I don't think they even really need a new website.

Yes, somebody sent an email posing as a law firm, and then "admitted" to being the masterminds behind the supposed hoax once they were questioned about it. But where's the proof that they're actually responsible, and not just making up a story for self promotion? Anybody could have done exactly the same thing.
Is it not possible that these people are just taking credit for the photos in order to get attention? Nothing about this object is proven, except that you can take pictures of it.
