I wasted 454 if it makes you feel better. I am going to use my last one on the Mystery Box though. :3

@ DDD

I hate telltale games, but I respect the fact that some people like these games and they're generally considered games.

Believe it or not, that isn't that ridiculous.

Rayman Legends - Requires no less than 21 days of online challenges, with the requirement being 100+ days if you don't spend the time to be in the top 1%.
Lost Planet 2 - There is a title for getting #1 on a leaderboard, which was one of 500 tasks required to platinum.
Fight Night - The person with the belt had to challenge you to a match and you had to win this match to platinum. (100% luck based)

Yes, but most online trophies are based off vastly changing your play style and relying a lot on luck.

Case in point...

Counter Strike GO has a trophy for winning a knife fight. While this is easy to do, all the difficulty comes from luck. While you can always have your knife out, you can't control what other people want to do. If no one wants to engage you in a knife fight, then you're stuck using that knife till you either get the trophy, give up o...

There should only be one mandatory rule when it comes to trophies. That is that it's completely possible to platinum any game, without the purchase of DLC. There is no reason to make multiplayer required, just like there is no reason to make single player required either. Especially since it will actively devalue your product.

How does it devalue your product? Instead of having people who want to play the multiplayer for whatever reason, you have people completely fixate...

It's a two way street. Some games, like Catherine, really motivated me to unlock something totally surprising that I had no clue existed. Other games, such as Vanquish, add a little extra boost to doing things like Tactical Challenge 6. Sure some devs are lazy, but there were plenty of lazy devs in the past too.

Just go to Target and get all 3 for the price of 2.

To be fair, the article suggests it COULD happen, which can be said of any game in a series.

While they aren't the most interactive games around, some people enjoy visual novels and enjoy games with a strong narrative. Sure some games can do both, but there is no reason both can't exist.

"but on other hand you can easily spend over 200 hours on Disgaea 4 which is....kind of insane."

This really starts and ends with where and how you define the "end" point. You can typically beat a Disgaea game in 20 hours, but all the post game stuff takes up the other 180+ hours. Likewise, Uncharted 3 might be "perfect", though you can easily spend another 200 hours unlocking all the costumes / perks / skills / levels online. For some, simply be...

Blastoise has a mega form, so that alone prevents him from being redundant.

"You would have to contact Sony & have them send you a disc with the update on it in order to get blu ray functionality going. You could also get someone to put the update on a flash drive for you if possible. Kind of sucks but it's definately doable & you can play games right out of the box. "

Assuming the PS4 acts like the PS3 (can't imagine why they would change this...), you can update via games that have the update on them. So no, you wouldn'...

I meant the situation. As it stands, I thought the blog was pretty much saying "I got a friend who can't control his rage, so do you have tips to prevent him from breaking my property without confronting him?"

Like I said, there are a lot of situations and endless possible reasons. Ranging from him being frustrated at losing to him thinking he is being wronged in some way.

After playing this game a lot, I can flat out tell you the bosses aren't cheap. They're just very esoteric. Like, I failed a lot of times because I had absolutely no clue what the game wanted me to do (like the final part of lava mountain zone 3), but once you know what to do and abuse "full charge" attacks... the bosses become a joke. Like I found you could get to the red guy on lava mountain zone 3, full charge hit him to avoid his fireballs, turn around and hit him with a...

Well, there are a lot of ways to take it, but you don't give enough information to give an accurate opinion. Perhaps talk to this person to see if there is a game they might enjoy playing a little bit more. I know it really sucks when you're playing a game you don't get and everything feels awkward / weird to you (like when I got roped into playing a bunch of PC games at a game convention. Having never once played with a keyboard, I was ultimately at a severe disadvantage and comp...

There are other games that had SP DLC locked out. These include Batman Arkham City (Catwoman), Bulletstorm (challenge maps), RAGE (missions), Kingdom of Amalur (7 SP missions), and several more. Sure it sucks, but Ubisoft announced that they're done with stuff, so it will not affect Watchdogs.
