To be fair, most people buy these things and don't have the right expectations. When you get something like this at launch, you have to expect a lot of things like...
- Hardware problems (if only because people are going to take notice of the complaints)
- The feeling it was "overhyped" (some comments had me believing some thought these machines could cure cancer... it's a new video game console, get some realistic expectations here)
- Bugs (...
Some people are never satisfied.
Thats because you need "the knack" to master Knack.
Well, the Xbox 360 had a 50%+ failure rate ( http://kotaku.com/5339555/r... ), yet the generation wasn't completely dominated by the PlayStation 3.
The long / short of it is, Sony is giving a number that has some sort of logic behind it. There are ways to estimate how many would have a problem, though people need to understand that this is an estimated number and not a s...
The number comes from Sony and there are ways to estimate such figures. Also, it in no way means that only .4% will be affected, just that the failure rate should be somewhere in that range (be it higher or lower).
Long story short, it's a figure that I am certain Sony can explain if legally pressed, but means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.
The problem is that we live in a world where you typically only hear the bad.
I go 200+ days at my job without a single report being filed against me and I get one complaint because I made a "rude" comment and my boss gave me a 10 minute long speech about how he has to be able to trust me.
The PlayStation 4 and I assume Xbox One will be the same thing. Very few people are going to say "I got mine and it worked", since thats exactly what ...
I have a Pikachu 3DS XL and a Wii U...
Wouldn't make sense, since everyone gets a different tax rate. Like CA appears to be 7.5%, where as MI is 6%. 1.5% might not mean much, but thats $1.50 more per $100 dollars, which would make a $600 dollar rate, a $6 dollar difference.
So, I am not allowed to want a game because some people on the internet said a small percent of it was bad?
I'm sorry, but previews are an awful indicator as to how good a game will or won't be. In the past years we had Amy and Aliens CM get great preview impressions, but both turned out to be loser games. I've also played some demos (Metal Gear Rising got a lot of bad press in this regard, though that game was amazing) of games I hated, but ultimately loved the g...

Read the article... it has a quote from Nintendo stating that.
If you had bothered to read the article, you would see that the article itself shows that a Nintendo employee stated they don't have plans to implement the other features.
Yes, but they also don't have plans to implement this stuff.
Fantastic bundle. If I was going to get any game with my Xbox One, it would be this or Dead Rising 3.
Wow, Nintendo needs to stop half ***ing their online and get with the program!
Nice! That one seems to be somewhat hard to find. I almost got it as my free game at Amazon, but opted for Knack.
No clue, but I can't wait to experience that on the PlayStation 4.
Melee > all
Why would they announce that launch PS4's come with $10 dollars, 30 day plus trial and some music unlimited time if they were also going to throw in a free year of plus?
This article is about someone who bought a PlayStation 4 Plus bundle and got their paid Plus time. Nothing about the email, article or situation suggests otherwise.
Is it really a deal and is this really news?
According to Amazon, there are 4 bundles ( http://www.amazon.com/PlayS... ) and two of them were a game and PlayStation plus. The remaining one was Knack and the DS 4 bundle, which would mean that the former bundles paid for a year of Plus and got...
It's nice, though you were always able to use a bluetooth or USB keyboard on the PS3...
