I like the way the PS3 does it best. I recently got battery packs and the charge and play cable for my 360 controllers and there are some things about it that are a little annoying. 1) You can't charge a controller without it being on, so when my wife plays Viva Piñata the other controller vibrates all over the place so we have to set it on a pillow or something so it isn't making a racket. 2) It charges sloooooowly. 3) When I shut down the 360 while it's charging a controller the fan (y...
That video is awesome though. Check it out if you haven't seen it. Watch out for the crocs!!
Sadly, that headline was exactly what I was thinking when I played through the demo. Same old DMC with more polygons and higher rez textures.
You pretty nearly discovered the paradiddle there!

What a Hater. Capital H.
I bet he suXXorz at Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
Nintendo had at least one (more I think) quarter of negative growth during the Gamecube years.
Fire up Google if you don't believe me.
I can only see them lowering the price if they are forced to in response to one of the other console manufacturers altering their pricing so that they cut into Nintendo's sales significantly. I don't know if that will happen in the short term - potentially a $299 PS3 could pose a threat. Also, I don't know what it costs to make a Wii these days, but Nintendo won't want to cut into the profitability of the unit if they don't have to. So unless the Wii's manufacturing costs have dropped at leas...
Yeah - I just played the "The Club" demo and was not impressed.
No way Saturn was worse than the 3DO or Jaguar. I think the Sega hardware brand squandered all of it's good will with the lame Sega CD and 32x add-ons to the Genesis(Megadrive) and the Saturn had to pay the price for it.
Would Nintendo have put the Seal on Wii Play? Yes, in general, they are doing a better job than third parties at releasing quality content. But they showed us that they aren't above a quick cash-in when the only way to get another Wiimote was to buy the shovelware that is Wii Play.
Earlier on Toshiba could have done what Sony did with DVD and ask that some more features be implemented, but I think that ship has sailed by now for Blu-Ray.
Originally it was developed just for the PC, but the developer talked about bringing it to consoles. It's been confirmed that they are working on a version for the 360, but it hasn't been confirmed that they are working on it for PS3 - so far it doesn't look like they are. Some people say "exclusive" refers only to console exclusivity - i.e. "Bioshock is a 360 exclusive" - I don't know that that makes a whole lot of sense, but there you go.
Good point. The pre alpha stuff we've seen looks amazing so the finished product is certainly going to look great - so it's all down to gameplay and, for me, hopefully a decent story,
It takes an awful lot of effort to get a demo or even a demonstration ready build to show off at something like GDC and wouldn't find it so strange if Guerilla wanted to keep everybody working on the game so they can hit their deadlines and ship whenever it is they are intending to.
I think it's all down to how good it is when it comes out. I think it will be better for them if they don't release alongside another prominent PS3 shooter like Killzone 2 or Resistance 2, but personally I'd rather have them do that and have the game be good then release it when it's not ready just because they might sell more copies.
