It didn't really do it for me personally, but if you LOVE Zelda type games then you'll probably enjoy it.
How much of a stake? It will be interesting to see how this affects the user generated nature of the site - Will people be as inclined to put in the effort to make more money for "the man"? Will we get banned for talking smack about Rob Smith?
My Phantasy Star cartridge's battery died before I could finish it, I couldn't save. That game was hard, especially being as young as I was. I remember trying so many times just to kill my first fly when leaving the city. That game was awesome.
It IS viewed by Yahoo as hostile. Microsoft has been trying to buy Yahoo for several years and they have always been flatly denied. Yahoo does not want to be bought by Microsoft, it's that simple. The only way it will happen is a hostile takeover.
SoTC is my #1 on PS2. That list is a little jrpg heavy.

I think it's possible that Sony knew what they were doing by having a pretty slow first year - they did the same with the PS2. It's better to build momentum than to start out with a lot and have it steadily taper off - in other words "nowhere to go but up" can be more favorable than "nowhere to go but down". The PS2 started even slower than the PS3 then picked more and more steam until it just dominated, but it certainly didn't dominate right out of the gate. Time will tel...
