I've been on the fence a long time about getting Skyward Sword, but this review has helped me make up my mind. My favourite parts of the game were all the puzzle rooms funnily enough. Those quiet moments where you're scanning the environment and looking for clues while Sully stands idly by, contemplating another cigar to light up. Some of those puzzles were really inventive. Made me long for the golden age of the point 'n' click adventure games made during the 90's again.
Knew it wouldn't bode well for the final product. Oh well, there's always the next Hot Pursuit game by Criterion in 2012 (hopefully).

but that is utter bollocks. I'd elaborate, but why even bother? It's clear as the sun in the sky: if the script, voice-acting and direction is up to snuff then a cut-scene will bring the player deeper into the action and make him care more for the characters.
Give me a well-executed cut-scene over the Half Life/Bioshock aesthetic any day of the week. At least Infinite has you actually controlling a protagonist with personality this time; not just a disembodied pa...
