Oh Lord, they were terrifying.
I'm really hoping David Cage's new game Horizon features at E3. Can't wait.

I hate him so so much. He solely ruined the MGS series for me.
Nuff said.
Maybe it's the huge gaping mouth.

Because I liked the character so much before I found out who he really was. If that makes any sense.
and its wave of giant demonic babies devouring the entire world. Never played the game but saw that ending on youtube; it's disturbing to say the least. Klonoa deserves a mention as well. It's a kiddy platformer yet has a massively traumatic ending. Bambi's mother all over again.
A hugely compelling revenge fable that ended so abruptly it was infuriating. The reason behind it was pretty much due to the developers running out of either time or budget, but they carried the story on in two far far inferior sequels that never came close to the original's glory. And yeah, as was stated above, it's a crime that Shennmue II never made it on that list. It has to be surely the definitive gaming cliffhanger.
but that's only because I haven't had my PS3 for very long (although long enough to know that it is my favourite console since the Dreamcast!) So I'm going with...
1. Heavy Rain
2. LittleBigPlanet
3. Yakuza 3
4. Uncharted 2
5. Flower
I can't wait to romance a hot female Ewok.
Dead now, God rest his soul. But that dude was packing some pipes! He voiced the Elder God in the Soul Reaver series for those that remember.
Good endings
FFVII
Klonoa
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Bad endings
Bioshock
Fahrenheit
Alan Wake
It's a FPS.
It's not entirely implausible for Enslaved to be on a par with the Uncharted series. Needless to say, I await the coming of Enslaved with glee, whatever it's graphical merits may be, and I hope to see a lot of it in upcoming E3 coverage.
I'll only accept 21 milliseconds.
For just various reasons, I loathe it. Which sucks for me because I love point 'n' click adventure games, but there you go. I wish somebody out there would release the likes of The Curse Of Monkey Island, The Longest Journey and Grim Fandango on PSN/Xbox Live.
I mean seriously, after the brilliantly executed, jaw-dropping twist, that game dive-bombed so hard that it wasn't even funny. The pacing of the game grinded to a halt and I suddenly found myself losing the will to finish a game close to completion. The boss battle was the final nail in the coffin. A last act so poor that it put me off ever playing the sequel. I'd also like to mention Fahrenheit, although in that game's case it wasn't so much the ending but the second hal...
It goes like this...
PS1>PS3>PS2
Maybe it's rose-tinted glasses at work, but I hold the PS1 and its games very dear to my heart. No other console has given me anything as awe-inspiring as Final Fantasy VII.
To put things in a bit more context, my top 3 favourite consoles would by the PS1, Dreamcast and PS3. I am seriously loving my PS3 at the moment, I've only had it for 5 months and I already know it's a fantastic p...
