It does look really great, albeit in an old-school sort of way. It strangely reminds me of the first three Spyro The Dragon games a lot, due to the visual aesthetic I guess. I think if the reviews turn out right and this is recognised as a killer-app for motion gaming, then I'll have to eat crow and buy myself the Move.
He'll only have to wait 30 days or so.
this game looks nothing short of incredible. My heart aches for it, my boner throbs for it.
Why didn't they get someone of age? Someone who fits the bill and actually looks gruff and grizzly or whatever, to sell the character better. I mean look at him - Baker is wispy as hell. The guys practically a French duke! Not to mention ubiquitous as hell. If the industry is so starved of actors right now then maybe I should lend my talents - I can do a killer Crocodile Dundee impersonation. That's gotta come in handy for something.
Anything that's considered a blow to GeoHot and his hacking cronies is a good thing in my mind. It is a bit dodgy that Sony removed a feature that was on the console at the beginning, but considering it was OtherOS and no one gave a crap about it - well, apart from the hackers obviously - means it's not really an issue. The only people turning it into an issue are the ones who wanted to jailbreak their own consoles.
GMT and all that. But when I wake up tomorrow morning I'll be excited to read up on all the shiznit that went down. I'm desperate to know who's behind this Last Of Us game.
why Square Enix insisted on making a sequel to XIII in the first place. Why didn't they just take the graphics engine they took so much time building and move straight on to installment XV. Instead, it's like they want to bathe in the fan backlash a whole lot longer with a direct follow up.
And who's bright idea was it to make Snow's 12-year-old-looking, wimpy-ass fiance the lead character?! Oy vey Square...oy vey.
One of my favourite games of the year. I've never been too hot on co-op in games, but playing with three other people through the story mode was just pure joy. It's a shame there's no third one on the horizon.
Love the shifting environments: reminds me of Dark City.
All the nuances in the audio design and visuals really do suggest that this will be one of the most immersive games to be released next year. It's just a shame it's taking so damn long to get finished; there's still no end in sight at the moment. Wouldn't be shocked if we don't get to play this until the summer.
Not long to go now then.
If they say FFXIII-2 is a high-on perfect game then I laugh in their face. I await further reviews.
let it be a Quantic Dream game.
got good taste.
the box art for The Last Story and Pandora's Tower look gorgeous; truly showcases of how to pull off a successful cover image for a game. I thought the box art for Yakuza 4, El Shaddai and Alice: Madness Returns was terrific too.
I've got Silent Hill: Downpour, The Last Guardian, Max Payne 3, Gravity Daze, Bioshock Infinite, Ni no Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch, Mass Effect 3, Journey, DmC, Captain Morgane And The Golden Turtle, The Silent Hill HD Collection, Machinarium (PS3), Yakuza: Dead Souls, Sly Cooper 4: Theives In Time, SSX, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Soul Calibur V, Tomb Raider, NeverDead, The Last Story, Amy, Twisted Metal, Wipeout 2048, Jak And Daxter HD Collection and Final Fantasy XIII-2 to look forward...
and it's still early days for Uncharted 3 yet; plenty more sales to be had in that one.
Sometimes I hate this industry. The mentality that if something is a runaway success then it needs to be milked as much as humanly possible to wring out every last dollar bill by the publisher.
It's sad to see Assassin's Creed join the ranks of Call Of Duty/Mario/Resident Evil in becoming another exploited cash cow.
Personally, I'd go with...
Final Fantasy VII - but only if I knew Square could pull it off for certain, which is doubtful, regrettably.
Rollcage
Fear Effect
JumpingFlash!
Rival Schools
The Legend Of Dragoon
The Adventures Of Alundra
Vagrant Story
Ape Escape
Galerians
Soul Blade, as much as I love it, doesn't really need remaking as we've got Soulcalibur V on the w...
What the hell is he speaking?
