This is just a phase the industry is going through. This time next year, we'll look back on the Gigolo Mode fiasco and the commotion surrounding the well-endowed Sorceress from Dragon's Crown and laugh. Or roll our eyes out of our heads.

let alone a game by a developer who has yet to release something that actually met its sales target. The Wii U is an underpowered console 7 years too late to the party and Platinum specialise in games that are anti-hit, bomb fodder. Both are destined to languish at the bottom of the charts - sad but true.
Just wait until Beyond comes out; that game looks even better graphically than The Last of Us.
I get the impression, due to the RTS-based gameplay, that it's going to be more Vandal Hearts than Final Fantasy, but as long as it's an ambitious game and epic in scope then I don't care. That's the problem with this gen, it couldn't capture the same grandiose stature and vision as the best JRPGs of the PS1 and PS2 era did. I hope next gen changes that. Let there be huge casts of characters, lots of towns/exploration and absurdly long cinematics for summon spells!

that Cerny's name is so heavily attached to something that looks so dull and uninspired. This man has worked on the likes of Sonic 2, the Crash games, the Spyro games, Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. Those titles are the cream of the platforming crop, so you'd think someone with such an esteemed history of video game development could kickstart the next generation of consoles with something a whole lot more appealing than Knack. It doesn't even strike me as a platforme...

this game snuck its way to the top of my most anticipated games list. It's like some of my favourite platformers - Klonoa, LittleBigPlanet, Dynamite Headdy - all rolled into one awe-inspiring visual package. It's so vibrant and creative and ARGGHHHH I want it!!!
