I don't give a damn if a game doesn't have multiplayer or not, if it's a game I want, I'm buying it.
Some of the best game franchises had a very good Single Player experience :
Shadow of the Colossus
God of War
Metal Gear Solid
ICO
Jak and Daxter
Rachet and Clank
Hitman
Uncharted
Prince of Persia
Max Payne , and the list goes on.
All of those games are very good single player games, and...
I can't f*cking beleive that the North American and European PS3 version of FFXIII is going to be held back for release until the lower quality 360 version is finished... Microsoft must have paid them for that to happen.
Anyways, I'll just import the game from Japan and play it and then buy the North American version when it comes out. Even though I wont be able to understand anything or read anything in Japanese, I'll figure something out.
However, SquareEnix NE...
The Xbox 360 is supposedly the "better platform for games" when the console can even stay on without dying like during the Gears of War 2 demonstration at E3? Ha! For playing games, the 360 hardware isn't all that great because of the hardware issues with the system.
This guy obviously hasn't tapped into what the PS3 can truly do because the PS3 is a monster of a machine, just look at games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted and upcoming games like Killzone 2 and Resi...
I would have chosen a PS3 exclusive instead of Fallout 3 because Fallout is multiplatform.... I probably would go with Killzone 2 or LBP as the best PS3 game from E3 2008, but that's just me. Resistance 2 looked great and all, but I'm just looking forward to Killzone 2 more as a first person shooter, but I'm still getting both Resitance 2 and Killzone 2 regardless.
Microsoft needs to stop wasting money on buying 3rd party timed exclusivity and downloadable content and maybe they could actually have more exclusives.
I mean, seriously, how many big Xbox 360 games are actually exclusive to the 360? Ninja Gaiden 2, Forza 2 and Halo 3 are the only "big" 360 games that are actually exclusive to the 360, everything else is 3rd party games or games that were released on the PC later on down the road like Mass Effect, Gears of War, and B...
VG Chartz has already reported of a shortage of PS3 consoles and that's the reason behind the lower PS3 unit sales in America.
Whenever Sony get's everything up back to normal again with their console units in stock, most likely it will be back to PS3 outselling the 360 in the U.S. again. Plus, these VG Chartz numbers are just estimates, the only thing that matters is the Official NPD numbers.
The 80GB PS3 MGS4 bundle was number 3 in the Amazon.com top 10 earlier...
It would be nice if Square could give a possible release date time frame for FFXIII at least, and I want to see more of FF Versus XIII.
The Xbox 360 is still dead in Japan. Once FFXIII hits Japan and other big JRPG's that are on the PS3, the Xbox 360 will become even more non-existent.
And that article about "Xbox 360 shortages in Japan", give me a break, Microsoft most likely hasn't shipped in new 360's in Japan for ages that's why.
The End boss battle in MGS3, and literally every battle in Shadow of the Colossus was a memorable moment, and seeing the transition from in-game cutscenes to gameplay in Metal Gear Solid 4 was just a few of my memorable moments in gaming.
A lot of people probably are just waiting for the prices on standalone Blu-ray players to drop, because paying $400 for the cheapest standalone Blu-ray player that does nothing but play movies is a lot, but paying $400 for a PS3 that plays Blu-ray movies, HD games, built in Wifi, stores photos and videos, Web browser, and more isn't that bad and that's probably one reason why the PS3 leads when it comes to Blu-ray uptake.
Once the cheapest Blu-ray players drop to around $299, t...
These are just rumors and they most likely wont come to pass. I remember in an interview with Shane Kim about a month or so ago, he said that a Xbox 360 priced at $199 is still very far off.
If Microsoft plans on dropping the 60GB 360 to $299.99 in September, then why are they introducing it at $349.99 again? It makes no sense, plus it's just a rumor and it's not even confirmed.
Microsoft already charges for Xbox Live and a few other things and now they want to charge for Avatar Accessories? Microsoft is one of the most greedy companies I've seen in the gaming industry.
This is what I expected, they are just taking the medals from the game and turning the medal achivement into a trophy.
I've already got almost all of those medals in Uncharted and going through it again would be pretty tough. I dare anyone to try to beat Uncharted on Crushing Difficulty because it's hard as hell.
If there was a game I really wanted and if I had the option of buying a game or downloading it from a torrent, I would choose to buy it. I support the gaming industry and the developers that put so much hard work into game titles, and purchasing a game is how people should support the gaming industry.
To me it really doesn't make sense to milk a franchise like Call of Duty every year... a new Call of Duty game every 2 or 2 and a half years sounds more realistic.
Activision just needs to make Infinity Ward the developer for the Call of Duty series and Treyarch should come out with a new IP. It makes no sense to have 2 different developers working on the same damn franchise when that other developer could be brining something new to gaming like a new IP.
Instead...
Wow, Itagaki almost has nothing good to say.
And based on his comment about his preference to the 360, he basically just prefers the 360 just because it's easier to develop for... but I don't see how he could respect Kutaragi and not support the PS3 at all. He probably hasn't even given the PS3 a chance when it comes to development... he's just another Gabe Newell to me.
I think that Itagaki needs to wake up and realize that as a Japanese developer, his games cou...
I remember last year all those Xbox 360 fanboys were saying crap like, "Blu-ray isn't for games, Blu-ray is for movies", and now the fools who said that are eating their words.
Sony knew what they were doing when they put Blu-ray in the PS3. DVD is last gen, Blu-ray is the future. We were playing on DVD's last gen with the PS2 and Xbox, this is 7th generation now.
Atlus definantly had better days during the PS2 era.
One of their latest game released on the Xbox 360 (Operation Darkness) has a Metacritic score of 40 for gods sake. At this point I don't think that anything released from Atlus deserves a countdown unless it's a sequel to a game that was well recieved on the PS2 that was developed by them, like Odin Sphere.
Yes, the Xbox 360 may have a higher installbase, but you must have forgotten that Sony still has the PS2 AND PSP, not just the PS3. The PS2 has a 120+ installbase and the PSP has sold 37+ million units worldwide, so there are a LOT of potential people that could be calling Sony at any time and the Xbox 360 higher installbase over the PS3 has nothing to do with more reports of issues with Microsoft's Customer Service.
Yeah, Max Payne 2 was very good and was WAY better than the first to me.
In Max Payne 2 you got to play as Ramona (the girl Max is in love with) during certain parts of the game.
Max Payne 2 had a lot of framerate issues though...but it was still a very good game to me.
*Spolier*
If I remember correctly, I think that Ramona died during the end of the game too
