Backwards compatibility it's bleeding money for Microsoft, they need to pay some studios to port those specific games to Xbox One's PC like architecture, and, they don't even make money out of it seeing that majority of those titles are third party. I guess Rockstar appreciates the 8% bump in GTA IV sales...

Literally the only game I'd buy an Xbox One for would be Sunset Overdrive, a game made by a studio with a track record of working with Playstation, but I'm not dropping 350 bucks just to play one game...
Last gen ended up with PS3 on top.

Yeah, because PSVR hadn't come out yet. They started working on the sequel. No point on waiting when at the time there wasn't a clear date for PSVR.
The schedule just didn't match for the game and the PSVR release.
