The PS4 Pro is not to be seen as an upgrade, but rather an 4K alternative to the PS4.
It's meant for people who haven't buyed a PS4 yet and have a 4K TV
or
people who have a 4K TV and the basic model and don't mind trading up (But it's all up to you)
It was never meant to be a replacement that every PS4 user trade for the basic model.
It's the same system, it just runs natively with an higher resolution.
PS4 and PS4 Pro are the same console mate, so they have the same exclusives.
(The names kinda give it away no? 'PS4' and 'PS4' Pro?)
The only difference is that the PRO runs at 4K TV's natively with bigger resolution.

Games with single-player should never be always online, buying an always online game is buying a license to play, as soon as they close the servers down, your money is going down the drain and you can't play the game that you bought... ridiculous.

Sure, but the thing is, like you said, why would anybody buy an expensive Scorpio to play 3rd party games, when they can get a PS4 PRO, play those 3rd party games with a great adition of 1st party titles. It just doesn't make sense to buy an Xbox at this point in time unless you really like the pew pew pew Halo/Gears and some vroom vroom Forza.
