People who value ownership and the many advantages of Blu-Ray will pay the extra money for the next model up. I would gladly pay an extra 200.00 to have the disk. But that's me. I prefer disks over downloads.

How is it shoddy if it's true? Is it not possible to do the things mentioned in the article? Having coexistance wouldn't hurt anything, not even Blu-Ray. It would actually increase sales, allow choice, and bring Sony out of the red. It is a logical business move.

It would solve the pricing issue of the Playstation 3 without sacrificing Blu-Ray. In effect, the PS3 sales would rise and be competetive. This would spur more interest to release exclusives for the platform and encourage using PS3 as the lead console for multiplatform games. Think about it. If the PS3 is the lead platform then both 360 and PS3 versions improve. They've already talked about the idea and doing this would benefit everyone on all sides with no perceived downsides.

I read this article several times trying to decipher his message on “Why 360 sells more software”. His reasons basically are founded on high price and the idea that Playstation 2 games haven’t made their way to the Playstation 3 yet. That's what I was trying to point out in my post above. They will complain about every little thing short of "being a PS3" game.
Make no mistake, Killzone 2 will be bashed hard. It will be judged harder than every other game this generation with the expectation of perfection.

That's not true. Some games are only available on PSN. Not every game is stuck with the Blu-Ray disk. Just look at Warhawk and Socom, which are on both PSN and Blu-Ray.
