Buy day one and you get…the most buggy and least complete edition and now there’s no way to recoup part of that $70 you paid. Buying day one is the worst thing you can do, thankfully there is Gamepass and it eases that sting on console.
How do you combat slow sales and the used game market when most will play on Gamepass?? You take away the ability to trade it in and boom, more sales
After 6 months or a year I bet. Why not port it and sell 25 million more copies? Kinda stupid not to, but yeah, prolly not day one on other consoles, I wouldn’t expect that. Not on Series X/S either though as 5 years out is beyond this Gen.
Wear a condom
Can we get a release date? I do feel this is being held back on console so PC expansions can make money…hopefully it’s early ‘24 and feature full then. Dying to play this!
Or play less
I’m guessing some titles will go multi platform after a short period or right off. Sony ports games to PC for this same reason. Microsoft will make a few huge releases exclusive as Sony does, but games like Doom and Wolfenstein that have household name appeal, well Microsoft would be foolish to not cash in on these ports. I’m guessing Elder Scrolls will be a 6 month timed exclusive and Fallout, Doom will come to PS day one. Just guessing though at what makes bu$iness sense!
Agreed it’s a balance though, gotta have one or two huge exclusives or timed exclusives then make money cross platform with the rest
Future Doom, Fallout, and Wolfenstein games will likely release on PlayStation too, to hold these games back to only Xbox would hurt their brand…as in losing millions that Microsoft is not giving the devs.
If there is no fishing I hope there are romance options. Surely there is a space mini game or arcade games on the ship, that would be realistic I think.
“Lost”
But…
Still making boatloads of cash. Not bad for last.
1st party gets the dev kits first, then third party after. Activision prolly got it first bc COD is such an important game to get right. Hopefully this clears the runway for Killzone.
Makes sense, they will obviously have resources you will need, I hope it feels vast and empty as it should.
Flight Sim ‘24 and Starfield could have been the only games and I’d still say it was a great showing. It’s amazing what a couple of 9/10 games will do for a console…and we all know the future is brighter than the present for Xbox—they are third in the console space and will finish third this Gen, but healthy competition and great games on Xbox, even if they do arrive late this gen, it is better for gaming than these franchises they bought up getting buried.
They should drop Killzone and dead COD like 2k did NBA Live.
You buy it then sell it, that’s a long term rental
The lighting in this game is going to be insane!
It was a good showcase, this is what they are supposed to do, get people excited for the upcoming games—and they accomplished that. Strange that all these articles feel like damage control when it was supposedly a successful (better than Sony) game’s showcase. Weird.
Hopefully less bullet sponge enemies and timed events, some dev has to cut out the grind and make me want to play daily not feel like I have to or I miss out. This FOMO gameplay element and limited actual life of the game makes it hard to get excited for it. I wish they would focus on a single player experience with PvP like all of us old heads want—sigh.
I feel this, same game new name
Unfortunately more likely corporate greed will win out
