Agreed, I’ll probably try it eventually on a deep sale but the setting and hard core D&D mechanics around turned based action—hard pass for me. I hope those who enjoy this type of thing take a vacation and get a tattoo of it.
Saw this from a mile away. It’s a Dungeons and Dragons game. It’s going to try to appeal to all those who bought Hogwarts, but really thirsty teens and sweaty Anime fans are the target audience. Those who go to renaissance fairs and dress up to drink mead. They’ll love it.
Biggest since Halo. The original.
Sniper crawling in the grass with night vision goggles while he talk whispers in your ear with that cool accent. Then, right at the point when you shoot, everything goes to shit, you get captured, then tortured, but somehow escape and have to fight your way out. Obligatory helicopter in a canyon and/or bombing from above.
Yeah this game is a novelty distraction for a week of your life. Press to jump and the lack of freedom to jump anywhere killed it for me.
Own this from PS Plus. How ironic people spend their precious time, hours of their life they will never get back, trying to get games to run on hardware it’s not intended to when they could easily play it another way. For free no less. Every day things get more odd.
$17 for a 13 year old game you are going to play on 10 year old hardware? Way to go.
Sales results will be good, it’s a great game. For gamers that already know anything about gaming though, this is a ridiculous release that no real fan of Rockstar games wants or needs.
Publishing an opinion that’s obvious to everyone is hilariously bad journalism. Seriously though, all anyone wants from Rockstar is a trailer and a next gen patch for RDR2. If we get one of those two in the next 6 months it’ll be a small miracle.
Also, it is turn based, so there’s that. I’m sure this made development a lot easier when there’s no freedom of momentum during action. This is an old school RPG through and through, media reactions will be 10/10, casuals will buy and return wanting something less bloated and more fun 6/10–average 8/10. Not buying into the hype of a turn based RPG in 2023, but y’all go ahead.
Rockstar roll over and let Bluepoint take over! GTA4 and Max Payne 3 both played like a slide show on console, not having these games available this or last gen hardware is criminal.
That probably won’t release for at least another 18 months. Maybe longer. We don’t know bc Rockstar marketing team zigs when others zag.
Facts. Bully, Max Payne, Manhunt, Midnight Club, just where they hell are you Rockstar? Can we get a sniff of a trailer release window for GTA6 or just crickets as usual? The switch ps4 RDR is a slap in the face of consumers and a trolling corporate joke.
I mean, it’s true it’s happening, what we want and what happens…
If by both you mean Switch and PS5. This is the most common I would guess, I’ve also got a Quest, at some point I have enough toys.
Who the hell would trade their Series with Starfield on deck? Maybe if you had two? Let’s be real, if you don’t already own a PS5 you either don’t like games or can’t afford it.
R* are the new Sega, incredible IP that turned grossly mismanaged and sadly underutilized.
Dang I’m looking into this asap, don’t want to buy a series x until a new sku drops and Starfield is patched up nicely. But yeah, I’ll dip into this for sure.
This will pay for the music rights for GTA6? Maybe the owe some back taxes? Maybe a better version is a year or two out and they know some will buy this lazy ass port, if there’s money hanging, mine as well grab it. Corporate greed 101.
Yup, both Sony and MS knew this game is the next Skyrim and tried to lock it up. That tells you all you need to know about it.
