Yeah it looks SO much like it, the cockpit view and crafting, the laser tool…yeah, good thing Bethesda are masters of the traditional RPG and it will no doubt but full to the brim of that goodness. I’m not sold the gameplay is anything more than fallout in space, but that sounds good to me!
War…war never changes…
Contract restructuring is a nice touch, as is having 6 slots for trades and having access to three years of draft picks instead of two. Hopefully they scraped that directional passing bullshit.
If it does it’s because it’s a prequel. It’s a friggin spore driven infected zombie apocalypse, a happy ending won’t be an easy write
Eurogamer did a great write up about this and PC scalability—the heavy lifting that is “free” on PS5 will be GPU bound I believe and it will NOT go to the CPU like TLoU. But yeah, this is some wizardry to get it to perform as it does on PS5. Some games are just better on console as you’ll want the Dualsense for this gem…like, maybe just buy a PS5?
Agreed, I remember when I thought lag was a PS2 era issue then realized it’s just where the servers are and who you are playing with. There will always be lag and this sucks for fighting and sports games, they play like trash online. This isn’t changing anytime soon unless servers are everywhere.
If this was an Xbox product it would be interesting to see the reaction.
Trade in prices were so much better though. We had a great used spot in my town that I’d buy Genesis games from, they were $20-$30 used. I don’t feel like prices have changed all that much through the years, people are only willing to pay so much for entertainment. That said the next gta could be $125 and people would pay it, yet free to play is the model. Yup, gaming is just F’d these days especially post Covid.
I wonder what the original Alan Wake sold physically, and yeah, tons of games release digital only, they can always do a small physical run if sales are great.
Oh dang, if Fable or Perfect Dark the internet might break, cue Sony fans and execs heavy breathing
I agree but Virtua Fighter and old SF games used too buttons for short cuts of pressing two buttons at once and for some grabs that normally require more presses too.
I guess this looks cool, and new gamers to this series will be happy, but those of us that have already spent hundreds of hours holding down attack button or the mouse and pointing it in the direction of enemy hordes will be over here rolling eyes when they talk gameplay.
Yup
This seems like a sure thing. Counting on buying a Series X this holiday season for this game, don’t F this up Bethesda.. I can’t justify buying a console for a Flight Sim.
R* The only developer you can day one.
For the right price I’d be all over this. No memory cards or separate games to purchase, just a (hopefully) light device device I can play Darkest Dungeon 2 in bed with.
Konami, dumb it down for us here in the U.S. we don’t learn things but do know very well how to shell out again for something with a fresh coat of paint. I think many think Delta in the name means it’s changed a lot and a new game. We dumb dumb and they need explains!
I think everyone assumed Factions would be at the Showcase, gamers bitch and moan about games being delayed then apply all the pressure and loud whining disappointment when things don’t happen when they thing they should. Relax ND, take all the time you need.
Yup, gotta start that savings envelope for the Series X now…this is gonna hit hard for sure. Don’t care if the gunplay is the same as Fallout and the melee the same as Skyrim, Bethesda is just too good at crafting a world and addictive AF rpg.
