$70 plus two DLC at $25 is $120—same as selling 2 full price games last gen to the day one FOMO sucker gamers this gen. Crazy times.

Agreed! If Starfield was a true must play I would have bought a X for it. As it is, I’m still waiting on my reason to buy a Xbox this Gen. Or another 8/10 (other than Forza) reason.

88 on Metacritic, same score as Deathloop. That was an enjoyable game as I’m sure Starfield is. Just not the must play experience people were hoping for.

Half of the gameplay moments people wanted are cutscenes. Taking off and landing, exploring dark sides of weird planets, NMS did these moments better but NMS planets are boring to explore too, there’s not enough varying terrain/biomes or mountains and rivers. I would rather have a hyper realistic dense city block where you can interact with anything over an entire universe full of nothing.

Can we just get the Fallout 4 next gen patch first? They won’t let the vampire game die, fitting I suppose but seems like a lost cause as this turd was doa.

More people play Risk on Steam than Halo

Selling $30 DLC to make up for losses is a tragedy and slap in the face to gamers. Oh, it’s actually good now but I have to pay again? No thanks.

Need to see how it is in the wild before I jump on board. I want to know how those sticks will hold up. Prolly wait for a refresh model, just like PSVR. Just waiting on the price to go down on PSVR2 now lol.

Expecting 6’s 10’s and average 8/10. Right on target, too bad it’s a day (or 250) late because now people expect 10’s. I’m sure the gripes like no map and better inventory management will come via patch.

What if I want to play another game and go through Starfield over the course of the next year or more, not play it like it’s my job?

I’m considering Xbox for online gaming and using PS5 for what it’s great for, those single player experiences. Probably won’t pick one up until the dust settles after holidays. That’s what this price increase will put in many heads, especially with Starfield coming. It’s like Sony wants people to buy a Xbox for online gaming as many are considering right now if they don’t already own one. Just terrible timing for Sony on this one, literally makes no sense.

No and no and 720 what? PC is dead compared to console gaming. Too many work from home and are on that PC all day already. Adding a PS Sub to a $500 console doesn’t make me want to buy a gaming PC. This makes zero sense and those price conscious don’t default to more expensive options when we get squeezed.

I wonder how many of Sony and Microsoft subs are sold for sale price versus full price? So now instead of $25-$30 on sale, we’ll be paying $40-$50 discounted instead. Not too bad imo. I’m up in December and won’t renew unless I can find a deep sale during the holidays. People freak out about pricing in this industry when we all know everything goes on sale at least a couple times a year minus hardware. All of us who truly live on a budget know and live by this—not sure these shouts at the clo...

You don’t have Starfield AND you raise the price? Weird business decision timing if you ask me.

If Kingspray would come to it I’d buy one

Y’all know bombs will be dropped in ‘24 and Beyond! This gen has a lot to give, how many real 9’s though? Naughty Dog will have at least one for sure

Two systems one game engine, this is what you get—Series X should keep improving visuals and new gameplay modes, instead you’ll get a static stable game engine and drip fed content.

The video game industry is a wait for sale industry, everything is discounted just months after release, it capitalizes on hype and FOMO. Just wait for a sale aka a year to play it, if you’re patient you can save a ton of $ on this hobby…unless you’re a Nintendo only gamer. Then you’re screwed and mine as well buy day one. At least you know it’s quality

Nintendo and Rockstar make the best games, that’s why they sell millions

Who is he selling mobile god of war and Spider-Man to? Because last I checked nobody above the age of 25 plays games on the go; they work, shop, and participate in social media in public but rarely game. Kids have tablets and already play games like Minecraft and Roblox on the go. You aren’t selling them God of War or Starfield on a phone Phil. This guy is clueless. Also, Sony is selling a device to play on the go in your own home because they understand people that have money to buy games ar...
