First Lionhead now Rare? What the hell is with 1st party MS studios using Unreal? Call me jaded but I think it's really lame if a first party studio isn't using its own proprietary tech. These are the studios that are supposed to be showing what can only be done on their machine.

Not likely given Chris Seavor isn't at the studio anymore.

IDGAF if a game like madden is cross gen, but it's ridiculous if a AAA first party game is.

Take a game like The Division for example. A game like that is not feasible on last gen systems. If it was cross gen the scope of the game would be scaled back to accommodate the least common denominator, holding back the next gen version. Do you really want a new Gears (or any first party next gen game) to be held back in scope just to be able to be on last gen hardware?

Even despite most of the golden era Rare alumni being gone, one can't help but be excited about this.

Still have no idea why they are putting out gamecube controllers when the Pro controller exists, other than purely for nostalgic purposes of course. It just totally undermines the existence of the pro controller

Reach beats the piss out of Destiny, no contest.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying Destiny, but all of it's features are so underdeveloped in comparison with Reach, or even Halo 3 for that matter.

The Titanfall comparisons really aren't fair to be honest since this has been in development before Titanfall was even announced

This really isn't so much things that Destiny does better than Halo, but moreso things that Destiny does that Halo doesn't and honestly it's subjective if that's even a good thing.

I'd argue the core Halo combat experience is still much more solid and refined than Destiny, but Destiny definitely has a deeper means of tweaking your experience than Halo does.

Considering that one is done in CG and the other is in-engine from a 10 year old engine, there's not much to be surprised about. Looks good.

Until they straight up rip off Zone of the Ender's combat system, I give absolutely zero fucks about another lame tenkaichi/raging blast style game. Still waiting on a real Budokai/Burst Limit sequel.

The only real innovations from that list are dual sticks, cds, dvds and the camera.

Online play? I guess you never heard of the Dreamcast, or better yet the PC. Sony had Blu-ray, MS had HDDVD, Blu-Ray ended up winning the format war so obviously they transitioned to Blu Ray. Free netflix? Wii and PC say hi.

Looks like halo 4's to me. Some of the lighting is what kinda gives it away IMO

Over it valve, I don't even get my hopes up anymore. If you ever do decide to make/show this thing it better be game changing

Needs Zelda, a REAL 3D Mario, a new AAA IP, a new modern Star Fox (helmed by Retro perhaps), Watch Dogs release date with new exclusive Wii U features to justify delay, and a redesigned Wii U with new marketing campaign.

Game was awesome DGAF.

Seriously though, texture loading aside, there wasn't much that disappointed me. Maybe there could have been more content in the wasteland, but the game had fantastic combat (thanks to great enemy AI), looked great, just enough RPG elements to make it feel deeper than a standard shooter, and had plenty of diverse game mechanics (crafting, vehicle sections, mini-games, etc.) to keep the game fresh til the end.

Woo Spike's graphic engine has just now caught up to Burst Limit's. God dammit, just let Dimps make another DBZ game.
