*Insert generic moronic comment about how bad the game is*
If they are trying to boost new game sales this isn't the way to do it. Speaking from working at a certain retail chain that lets people sell their games, SO many people rely on being able to trade in their games to afford to buy new games.
Yes the "tail" for new game sales will be longer, but the game's initial sales will take a hit. A lot of gamers already can only afford to pick up 3-5 new games a year even with the ability to trade in. Knowing you can on...
I still think it's the gold standard in terms of the quality and quantity of content. It's just the price that isn't the gold standard anymore.
People are just used to paying for Xbox Live at this point. They've been doing it since day 1, which is why we are "letting" microsoft get away with it. I think come next generation they are going to have to offer some serious premium content for gold members or adjust their pricing structure.
The sad thing is that Microsoft is missing a huge opportunity to capitalize on the rejuvenated interest in fighting games over the last couple of years. They have a window of opportunity to make this game happen but its slipping away.
Hence my original comment. Back in 2007 it was impressive, but ME2 and ME3 looked hardly cutting edge for their times.
Thank god. Unreal Engine looks like ass.
The game looks pretty inconsistent. In some shots it looks better on PS3 and others on 360. The cameras on PS3 had actual textures yet the close up on Dante's face showed the 360 had much better anti-aliasing.
You can always pre-order through gamestop if you don't want to pay for it. Power Up members get it for free I'm pretty sure
I'll take the brotastic regular art over this
So people are worried that not many people are playing a port of a game that came out nearly half a year ago on a system that just launched and has a low install base? Yea makes total sense.
A lot of the early adopters for this machine also probably aren't the brotastic morons that just play CoD and Madden each year.
Campaign is far from top notch. The story was horrible, the Prometheans and Didact have horribly un-Forerunner designs, half the missions have recycled ideas from previous games, and the music is very subpar.
Graphically the game is a beast as we all know.
And yes it may require more skill than CoD, but this Halo game probably has the smallest skill gap in the series. You are now rewarded for just spamming the trigger on the DMR as fast as possible instead o...
Coming from a Halo fanboy, no this game isn't close to being the best 360 game or even the best Halo on 360.
Where did you hear that about Steve? If you could give me a link that would be awesome cuz I'm a big fan of his work (have the Kameo soundtrack on my ipod lol)
I feel like I'm the only one who loved Crysis 2. Yea it lacked the open-world that the first game have, but compare its campaign to any other console FPS and it shits on most of the competition. MP was solid, but a little too "me too"
Wreckage isn't that great, but the other two are solid maps.
Given how this game has been in the pipeline well before knowledge of the Wii U I can't say I'm very surprised.
I mean it looks good but not next gen. Looks just as good as any other CE3 powered game on PC.
A lot of trading in at Gamestop is about knowing when to trade in. Yea the base values are somewhat low but they are constantly doing different promotions every couple of weeks.
Just save your crap you want to get rid of for when a good trade deal starts that way you won't be "ripped off"
"First, I don't want to be an anorexic girl with fake implants. That body is really not anything to die for. "
So because she's not fat (or in fat girl speak - "curvy") she's anorexic? The only girls that would say this girl is too skinny are the ones who are overweight or are self-conscious of their own appearance.
What a waste of resources this would be. I'd rather Nintendo use their time and money (both of which take a lot when it comes to Zelda games) to just make a brand new Wii U Zelda or have more people work on that project instead of spreading their dev resources thin between 2 projects.
