How about downloaded games taking HDD space? Or PS Store and Marketplace games not really being cheaper than their physical media counterparts? And that people like having something physical to collect or to give as a gift?
Those would be some more valid reasons, I think.
Thanks for feebdack, everyone!
@TopDudeMan
Many thanks. I was actually thinking about doing that, but maybe another time ;)
@r21
Yeah, the worst thing is I usually click on these lists myself. I feel like I want them to be good. Oh well :/
@SirRidge
They do, but the real problem isn't that people are writing lists, it's that they have nothing to write, but still somehow make lists.
@SageHonor ...
FFVII - played it for the first time long after release on my PSP. Still one of my favourite games. Also, still think Pokémon holds up, but maybe because of all the nostalgia.
Number 10 was really spot on, but then...
Myth 9: Actually they do make their own games. So much so in fact, that it seems weird to drag this up.
8. Half-acceptable. Just not that interesting.
7: "Not dead in China and Russia?" Really? That's how you defend PC gaming being alive? It's alive in USA and Europe too!
6: Oh, my God. This is so politically correct. And also absurdly obvious.
5: "If you don't believe me look at these...
I wouldn't be so sceptic had he not already asked for my patience in 2006. It took you five minutes to dish up XIII-2, just get on with it already!
Pagani kicks ass!
Vrooom! Vrrroooooooooom! Bzzzzzvrooooooom!
...Anyway, they do make some nice cars.
I once lost a Pokémon save, and I don't think I have ever cried that much in my whole life. I still have mental breakdowns every now and then. Some of which are related to the Pokémon save.
"I'm instantly drawn to arty experimental PSN exclusives."
and
"I like daring stuff like this that doesn't follow typical gaming conventions and just does its own thing."
Just thought you'd like to know
Looking very much forward to Datura btw
FINALLY! Sure, it doesn't have the worst story out there, but the story is awful and the fact that they spend so much time on the story in terms of cut-scenes in the game and hype before the game just makes the story annoying. The story in Tetris is more satisfying because it dosen't get in the way of the actual gameplay.
Great game, mind.
Oh, come on USA. Let's get physical!
...Exception that proves the rule? :P
Well, by rule, every time Sony... or really anyone else teases something in a viral campaign it either leaks before the teased date, or it's a disappointment. So either you're going to want to look for an early reveal or a christmas miracle.
I'm being a bit negative, I know. But with lower expectations you get even happier when they deliver, right?
If you at the age of 10 make a videogame designed so blind people can play it. You might just be a genius.
You disliked the Advent Children movie!?
...Die.
Haha, no. But I did like that movie.
This is rather nice. Moar!
What about PS3 support? It's just a damn voice command update with an extra gimmick.
Now, I love kinect as much as the next guy, but I don't love having a motion tracking camera as a microphone. Feature looks all right though.
Kinect my black ass, this is voice command! Only bringing it to Kinect is the biggest gimmick I've ever encountered because then it's not just talking to a microphone - it's talking to an "intelligent tracking device".
I can just see the 360s, Kinects and Skyrims being torn of the shelves as this goes viral :P
In all seriousness voice command is pretty cool though
Probably because it's composed of several minigames. Or because it serves as an introduction to the Vita, the way Wii Sports did with Wii and Wii Motion+
Very well written review!
I can see that. I just think that what passes for stories in RPGs and other games tend to be far worse than what is found in Skyrim. I mean, try FFXIII and then switch to Skyrim - then the story will feel PRETTY good (and FFXIII is not the worst, by far). Even so the story isn't the point, it's really just being a guy in skyrimm, so the story becomes the backdrop in many ways.
As the first Black Ops wasn't unrealistic enough...
