Well, you're not gonna get several great games across multiple genres immediately. Even if Vita actually does that fairly well. 3DS, PS3 and 360 had launches that really weren't any better than the Vita. Even the Wii with its solid launch didn't have THAT much else than Zelda. You're getting Gravity Rush, a new Uncharted, a new WipEout, FIFA and lots more. "Shut up" would be the words I'm looking for.
Yeah, Guiness should stop determining what's best going by people. At least go by gamers, and not just the people who've played Black OPS, Angrybirds and Tinywings. Or how about removing this category and sticking to actual records instead of making it a democratic process. We'll be voting for the tallest person in the world next.

To be multi plat you need to be more flashy, or people fail to notice you. Jaffe could pull that off though, but it's not really where the money is at unless you've got something special... or an FPS.
Usually it's to see if the game still holds up and if the remaster adds anything to the experience. That and to write a review that gets hits.

Clearly, while there last generation were numerous succesful Japanese RPGs the western RPG market is now overcrowded while only a few Japanese franchises like Final Fantasy are getting their time in the sun, and I gotta tell you, some of them are getting burned pretty bad by it (See recent FF games).
