It's not a matter of "hating" Ubisoft.
Some were just pissed at the poor quality ports. The new content is great, but I hope the actual port of the game looks nice.
I wouldn't buy this unless a game supporting it came out (like Lair).
For general games, there is no need really.
(Exception could be racing games, if the functionality is stable enough.)

The fighting engine still cannot be used online. That's why neither version of the game has online support...
I really hope that they put online support in the next game.
For now I think DOA or Tekken is a better choice for online fighting.

I wouldn't think so. I've had programs that are taxing on CPU/GPU run on my PC (and my PC isn't the best out there), and overclocked it before.
I think the PS3 was made to support an application like this, and tested to undergo such stresses.
Though maybe you're right, I'm not too worried.
Mmmm.......I dunno about "long hours," I think the problem is being under "high stress" for long hours.
I'm sure people have had their systems on for extended periods without any problems.

Definitely Folding. Folding will tax your hardware beyond what a game will.
Even still, I'm sure they'll touch up the graphics before final release. They're just finishing the game dynamics and whatnot beforehand, which is good.

My PC hasn't been turned off for months. And I didn't know what folding was until I heard about it on PS3. Not to mention it's much, much more effective on the console than my computer.

I agree that Halo 3 might not look as good as Gears, but I don't doubt the overall multiplayer experience for Halo. It's always been good in that way.

Was it fixed for the Elite? I remember reading it was susceptible to the same problem? I could be wrong.

I remember reading about the connection of these somewhere, but I didn't know it was caused by maximum stress on the components.
