Lacklustre and broken at the moment unfortunately. Audio and video quality needs fixing. As well as the permanently enabled subtitles. Could not get Atmos to work properly in black hawk dawn. Even tho subtitles are disabled I was getting two sets showing at the same time during the opening scene. Despite it being one of the only PSN premium offerings to offer 4K HDR IMAX Dolby Atmos. It looked and sounded worse than my standard HD Netflix sub.
Yay. Cheaters should be burned HARD!
Only way they're going to learn.
Bingo!
I’m not trying to be negative there. That should be “pretty good news” not “fairly pretty good news” won’t let me edit it now.
I would suggest that may be with certain features disabled though. Some games are excessive with the haptics which I guess would hammer the battery in these as much as it does with the standard pads.
…”another” positive. I see what you did there.
But yes that’s fairly pretty good news.
It could well be but It just hasn’t been received well at all by anyone. Nevermind the fact that Japan is a notoriously difficult place to sell hardware. Also the gaming industry as a whole is also in its biggest decline over there.
You can’t really trust “figures”. Goes for all companies really, but we had physical proof Sonys figures were falsified about the PSVR2. It’s fair to say that it may be likely these are too. Guess we’ll see.
.. yea, I suppose just like PSVR2. Don’t know how on earth people still take figures like this off the internet seriously. It’s just a sales technique to make you think everyone has one, I must get myself one too.
It’s common knowledge now they spent millions researching it and now it’s just openly used as a fake marketing tool and everyone just goes along with it. PSVR2 was a prime proven example. In recent times.
My understanding is that everyone starts with prime status but loses based on their anticheat status or if they have more than one account. That’s how I understood it anyway.
Why anyone would pay that to play something on a phone is beyond me.
As an owner of PSVR2 and an “avid gaming news” reader, if that’s a thing.. I knew absolutely nothing about this until now. Well done Sony another great job at marketing this.
Reading this article though, seems like I didn’t miss much anyway.
Considering Astro did so well I’m really surprised no one else has really had a go at a proper VR platformer. Playing that on the original PSVR is what made me a believer. I haven’t felt like that since.
N4G has turned to a higher level of garbage since the take over. They really are amateur trash.
“Releasing on Steam this September”…..???? They better hurry up then they’ve only got a couple of days left!
He’s talking about her personal bio.
The opening sentence is literally the only reference of her in the 3rd person in the entire article. I also read it wrong before reading the entire article trying to find it.
That’s why we keep getting games release like this. Because gamers are so fickle. The majority don’t have a spine, look at fanboys for example.
The problem with most recent FF games is that 100 hours of gameplay usually means 92 hours of mundane filler. 8 hours of actual fun gameplay at most.
It’s literally just finished and the only thing I remember is FF7 and only because it was near the end and I couldn’t stop thinking how disappointed I was that it wasn’t just a remake to begin with.
I don’t think I was interested in any of that at all. Was really hoping for something good maybe on PSVR2.
Sony has always had regular big ups and downs but Jim Ryan has just brought it down to relentless car crash levels. Over and over again. What is going ...
Dude just stop!
First of all you can talk up audio raycasting/path finding “marketing” talk all you want. It’s still not real-time ray traced audio.
You can tell the systems tempest engine to send whatever data you want but if you don’t have the output hardware there it’s not going to sound as intended. Shouldn’t need to explain any of this!
And again HRTF another silly marketing speal that’s been reskinned to make people think it’s a n...
The whole intention of ATMOS is top firing speakers. If you’re telling your ps5 to use Atmos your ps5 is telling your receiver to cut this sound from standard channels and play it through the top channels. Which in your case you haven’t got. That’s where you’ll be losing that sound or your receiver will just spread it thinner across what active channels you do have. Either way there’s no upside, sorry.
That’s rubbish and keeps getting spammed by the same people. Yet these same people don’t seem to understand or comprehend what either team is talking about.
To your 2nd comment - it’s not difficult at all. The new Dolby Atmos container has a specific set of top firing channels which the new algorithm will tell tempest were to send the information correctly.
…. And no, none of it does ray-traced audio… misinformation…. Wow.
And no, there...
Haha no extra cost! …and just like that, 35% vanishes into thin air.
Wow. There you have it. A perfect case study of how easy it is to manipulate people into saying the stupidest things.
