As someone who owns the PS4 version and played the PC beta (will buy it at Gamestop black friday sale), I can say that I'm disappointed with BF4 on the PS4.
It just looks rather lackluster in comparison to what the system should be able to do. I know the PS4 has more horsepower to give the game with some optimizations.
I know it's a PS exclusive game but Killzone Shadow Fall did the PS4 justice. That game looks stunning, even in comparison to a lot of...

Ehh, you can't really blame them for having to charge. Steam has some good sales but doesn't give away legit games like PS+ gets. It's even more so if you own a Vita and a PS4.
Plus most of the game servers from steam games are actually community funded. When everyone pays for the service like this, it allows for some complete fluid interaction that steam can't quite replicate.
This is all coming from someone that owns a very capabl...
Does anyone know when the digital version will be availabe on the US PSN store?
^
I called them today to make sure. :)
Thanks for looking out though.
@Freak
The only time I've been to neogaf is the few articles that have been linked on n4g.
So nope. All original idea. :) That's awesome if more people plan on doing it though.
Since it launches the same day as the xbox, I'm really thinking about going up to gamestop to pick it up at midnight.
I can see it now...
"Hey what are you the most excited about in the new xbox?"
"I'm not getting a xbox. I'm here for tearaway, a ps vita game."
I'm sure looks of pure shock will ensue. I wonder if they will let me in the store first. XD

Wow I think you're the only person that actually liked UMD proprietary drives.
I mean who else loves purchasing movies twice?
^^
I also played the crap out of KZ Mercenary. I platinumed the game.
Still it's pretty hard for me to play games like BF4 via remote play, especially competitively.
I've been more of a PC gamer these past few years so playing FPS games on analog sticks in general kind of drive me crazy anyways. :P
I saw this exact same topic on N4G about a year ago...
Come on guys, use some critical logic. It's probably no more a problem than any other electronic that's been made.
They already said they expect .04% to fail. They also said they sold over 1 million in the first 24 hours. That leaves 4,000 people will failed systems. Even if it was up to 1% (which is still an acceptable number of failures for electronics) that's 10,000 people. That's only first 24 hours and we are at almost at 72 hours.
Now al...
Yea I mean I love 1080p on my PS4 but even that is slightly disappointing after having a 1440p (80% more res of 1080p) monitor on my PC for the past 6 months.
Even thinking that the 720p and 1080p difference is marginal is freaking dumb.
I was actually thinking about picking up divekick for my Vita. Now I've made my decision.
Well the biggest issue with cellular networks is latency. That's also the bigget problem when doing something like remote play.
If he can do this over his 4G network then we should be able to remote play on any decent network at pretty long distances.
For example the latency on 4g is usually more than the latency from two decent servers on opposite sides of the US.
Therefore in theory we should be able to remote play across the nation! Ju...
I don't have time to currently watch but isn't this the processor used for video encoding and decoding. AKA the processor that allows for video streaming and remote play?
Sony already has said multiple times that they would have a second processor to do so in the PS4. They even pointed it out in their official disassembly video.
I would image the extra RAM is linked to that as well.
^^
They've done the same with the PS3 all these years with every update. You even had to put it in a small folder called "PS3" and all that jazz.
Still it's defiantly a nice option to have.
Actually you're all wrong, for the cheapest price estimate that is.
I have gotten both myself and my roommate a Vita via deals on craigslist/ebay. Both were in pretty much brand new condition and still only cost about $120 each.
Basically it will make your PS4 the same as a X1 price. Except instead of a Kinect you get the remote play feature on the Vita along with the Vita itself which is already an amazing device.
Spread the word people!...
^Same. Here is my final preorder slip I got from gamestop a hour or two ago.

Just over an hour to go here. Sorry UK :*( I have an extra PS4 I can send over if you want to pay for the shipping. :D
But thee SSD cache portion of the drive is only 8GB.
I'm not sure how beneficial it will be with 50GB games. Although $100 is pretty close to a standard laptop drive anyways so I guess it can't hurt.
Or maybe it can... 7 out of the last 10 reviews on newegg rate that drive horribly. Most of those were DOAs and failures soon after. Be wary.

"We in the UK never get any of these great deals."
Then what do you call everything that's been rolling into your PS Plus instant game collection for the past 6 months?
Also if someone really wants a PS4 I can ship you mine tomorrow for the right price. :)
If you read, you'll see it's not really the console getting hot. It's all the hot air exiting the back of the system via the exhaust port that they were noticing. This means it's doing EXACTLY what it was designed to do. Even if there was a power brick, it would be doing the same thing since it would be in the same area for the large majority of people.
Even so, none of that is a indication of the system failing due to heating issues.
Feeling ...
That's pretty freaking slick.
It's a shame it doesn't' have a 3.5mm jack on the controller though.
