Why not focus on next gen Pokemon?
Well said.
Dark Souls' multiplayer took major, baffling steps back.
No leaderboard room, no rating system in co op, they divided the online or something, which is why recommending a message is so much rarer. I liked some of the subtle things though, such as if someone reinforces a flask and you are nearby you get 1 estus or if someone rings the bell within your vicinity you hear it.
Core challenge is more consistent than Demon's Souls...
If you take 20-30 seconds to crap why bother bringing in a smartphone? You're better off preparing the toilet paper.
What is "bleeding edge" tech? That sounds pretty hardcore
Mind you, Nintendo has made technologies that have failed, but I agree that you have to give them props for thinking more outside the box. They may not be on par with some of the traditional stuff (graphical technology and online), but I have always appreciated their alternative hardware methods and seemingly immortal software
While the Facebook and phone market are definitely competing again...
I agree, this is a company Sony shouldn't afford to lose.
I think Sony should be giving them more funding and helping them move on to bigger titles for the PlayStation
Still, the XBLA and Steam market would love their games
I think players should be able to join late games for ranked, I dont see the harm in giving that choice. I'd also like it if after my team bails I can get players to even the game out. Only makes sense.
After the network patch comes the gameplay patch, and Axel and Talon are on the top of people's hit list. I think Talon's special needs a nerf, whether that be damage, bullet count, or regeneration rate.
My thoughts exactly, Killzone 3 was never really a success with the fans and the overall sales were lower than that of Killzone 2. The community is also struggling, I can find fuller games in K2. I doubt we would see this if the game was massively successful like other shooters.
Still, it's an experiment worth trying for a series that could benefit from it, and it seems Sony is testing the waters for a really interesting approach.
Hm, can you play this o...
If Sony didn't go down this generation, there is no reason to think that they will go down the next. Next gen is like a blank slate, there is no telling where the consoles will go.
This is all rather relative and narrow minded. By this logic, we can say that every gen, the console that was doing the worst off for the company would be most logically to drop out first, and while it certainly is the case that Sony is in a tighter financial situation, there is no grounds to...
It's not a VITA website, and the title is misleading.
Well Jaffe himself said don't buy the game if you are going for just SP/co-op
Wait, what? 400 new ranks?
Well of course, Sony isn't profiting off the Vita until 2-3 years, they'd have to have a huge long term goal unless they decided to make the handheld to lose money.
Far from a perfect, simply because they stripped away a lot of what made the SP so fantastic (multiple characters, multiple stories, characters having unique vehicles) and there are flaws with the auto lock. It's disappointing see anybody else but Axel driving the Axel vehicle. Online co-op should be standard too.
8 is reasonable, but I score it a 9. Multiplayer ranks up there as best of the gen for me, alongside Burnout, CoD4, Killzone 2, etc
Yeah, Sony really effed this game by not having their side of the issue fixed, but the servers are better now and online is top notch. In fact, once u get into a game, the servers run like local MP
Yeah but realistically speaking, why would people%2
Yeah but realistically speaking, why would people buy a VITA to play a console port? Not like everybody goes out long enough to want to play a COD game on the go IMO, especially if it will be the same exact game with the same maps and all that. And we're all thinking of the COD market-- they wont want to buy many games for the VITA when most just play COD on their consoles and buy little else.
I have zero faith in Activision to take the VITA seriously enough to make a bra...
Paradise is great, would love a sequel, however, they need to bring back all the great modes from Burnout 3 (Crash, Road Rage mode), offer closed-circuit race options, and split-screen.
I also miss the variety of locations
The real question is, will it be a standalone game, or a Black Ops 2 port? (or whatever Treyarch is releasing this year)
If it's a port, which I think it will be, then console players wont need to convert, which means it may not be the huge system seller some expect it to be.
But if it's a new title, then I can definitely see more hardcore COD fans jumping onto the Vita, especially if it's a truly unique, Vita-built experience.
Ho...
Sony needs to get this together, they are completely crapping on the game's image. I feel really bad for ESP
Sounds like easy money to me.
At least it's nice to see DS still getting support, but Pokemon is in need of a next gen shift, and some radical new concepts IMO. This just sounds like a very easy to do game for an experienced hardware which will sell millions. Low costs, max profits.
After all, if they did make a next gen Pokemon, they would lose this chance to go backwards and cash in on the opportunity of milking the final days of the DS.
