It doesn't have "perks", that's apparently just the word a reporter used to describe the feature, however it has gameplay altering upgrades you unlock, and that alone makes me pissed off.
What made Halo CE so great is automatically put into serious doubt when such a concept of progressive unlocks comes anywhere near a Halo title.
Highly disappointed with the idea of "Progressive unlocks" that alter gameplay. Many franchises have caved in to the cookie cutter model and if Halo does this, then I can only express doubt and pessimism
I'm with you, I hate the idea of both perks, but what I hate more that I've heard is the "gameplay enhancements" coming from progression, as well as custom building class loadouts. Halo has never rewarded gameplay advantages like that, it has always been completely even
Halo was the last major game that stood against that, it is destructive and distasteful and I have no confidence that it will be fair because the very idea of the mechanic is meant to be unba...
What a stupid question. I'm really tired of opinion writers thinking they can get a free pass for being an "opinion", crap is crap
Cool, but I hope the world feels as awesome as it was in CE. Great Graphics are nice and all, but for some reason I never got that sense of awe playing Halo 3/Reach like I did when I played #1.
Spotting is really stupid in this game, its really turned me off from playing until they patch the damn thing.
The auto spotting is a joke: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
and audio spotting is even worse. I hate audio spotting a lot, use your ears to listen to where the enemy is coming from.
Or at least do it like MAG did. MAG did it real well where the game outlines ...
A week early for PS+ Subscribers
Going by reviews and the beta, Journey ought not to be compared with Flower, but it is just as much of an awe inspiring experience
I'm a NeoGaf/Gamespot guy, and I dabble in N4G Forums rarely. I like all my communities, surprised to hear you call NeoGAF Sony central as I never got that impression, but I am fairly new so I'll see... any notable examples?
$15 aint bad for a full MP experience for anyone who hasn't played it yet.
But, for those who have never played Killzone in general, pick up Killzone 2 for probably the same price, and you get a top of the line FPS SP experience + a hardcore MP experience with a good sized dedicated MP community.
Not going to bring back the quality of those days.
This series needs to be reworked from the ground up, that's the bigger focus than an Attitude Era theme
This is besides the point, but Bieber is over-hated IMO.
Sure, his music is junk, but there's a long list of people that deserve to be hated before he does. At least he had musical talent when he was picked up, can't blame the kid for getting manufactured, not like he's the first. I think it's funny how much boys hate him and give him the attention.
Personally I hate the likes of Kesha or Paris Hilton so much more, but you never see the 16 yea...
Awesome stuff, thatgamecompany is a gem. If you haven't already, buy Flower and support these guys
What a pathetic tool.
Is the girl considering pressing charges? If that were me, I'd gladly gut the pig for what he's worth. And if the other guys noticed they should have done something about it too
Tells you a lot about the immaturity of this community when slobs like him get away with this in public and think of it as a norm. Hard for me to really comment as a guy, but I don't think girls should give in just because they fear being called a bit...
Oh wait that's Eddie Murphy..lol
Ew. May as well have renamed the game Jak and Donkey because that's all I'd be thinking
^ But there isn't a double standard here. All you did was explain the fact that Sony's approach resulted in more attention while MS's approach has not warranted that sort of attention. To say there's a double standard with the way the media is covering the issue when you are comparing two differently handled issues does not prove anything.
It's like saying a worldwide bank that decides to shutdown its operation should be getting the same coverage as a bank...
^ I didn't deny that, and that difference proves my point about how the media reflects the situation of a given story. Saying that if this was Sony that the media would be all over it is a silly remark since Sony did something completely different to get the attention they got.
The media makes a deal where the story is there. Sony shutting down PSN was a huge thing and got everybody's attention, on top of that the government wanted details, add this to the fact that a...
A worldwide PSN shutout affecting 100% of the millions of users causing confusion and frustration to gamers who play on a daily basis does not compare to a marginal number of accounts getting hacked.
If the issue is big enough, it will get picked up the same way and cashed in on the same way by websites who see the opportunity to dig into a story. The Sony issue was much bigger, and the media made it even larger, no doubt, but that doesn't mean that the issue is comparabl...
I don't think memory card prices are going to drop anytime soon if at all... Don't these things stay the same throughout? Look at MS's HDDs or Sony last gen with memory cards and multitaps.
Controllers are the big ones, still costing $50+
How much does 32 GB save anyway? How big are VITA games?
They all say that, but the minute you have a system that rewards a player with a gamechanger because he played longer, then that just isn't Halo.
There's no balance in that by definition
