To be fair Sony doesn't have as much to prove in the first-party department as MS, so people are more willing to give then the benefit of doubt. Particularly since Sony's first party games tend to be some of the most polished and feature-complete games in the industry. There's little to fear about Forbidden West given the quality of the first game. Starfield? Starfield is coming off of the backs of two poorly received Bethesda MMOs and Skyrim, one of the glitchiest games of th...

No more than I'm bitter that MS bought, say, Ninja Theory. Both were independent studios known for curating relationships by working with major publishers and releasing platform exclusives (in the case of Insomniac, mostly Sony exclusives).
Bethesda was a full ZeniMax subsidiary known for releasing games on pretty much every platform.
@CrimsonWing69
Per Wikipedia Bethesda has made 12 games to date. Exactly one of them (the very first) was an original Xbox exclusive. All of the rest were multiplats.
MS has been in the console space for two decades (four generations) now. They've had plenty of time to either build up a number of quality studios, or refine the ones they've had. That they had to result to buying a third-party publisher to make their system enticing really shows poor management on their part.
I tend to agree, but it depends on what your expectations and interests are. Mine were pretty high on the strength of seeing Everwild, Fable and Hellblade 2, but since none of them were present I felt underwhelmed. FH5 is of course more than a solid racer, but still not enough to carry the conference on its own.
MS has the PR wind behind them at the moment (mostly on the strength of services), and I plan to get a SX soon, but yeah, their games just haven't delivered t...
Except PlayStation sites have been giving it the same low scores that neutral sites have given it.
I mean yeah, I prioritize games, but I like features too.
These guys threw out the hot-potato "political correctness" scare phrase, with the hope that some hyper-political snowflake would run with it and help them distract from the true narrative ... that they're a bunch of conmen.
Predictably their tactic worked.
Series X has an average of 16% better performance over PS5 ... in photo mode.
So when the game is essentially paused and everything is handled by the GPU, Series X has a performance advantage. When the game is running and the full system is brought to bear, PS5 alone produces a judder-free experience.
Guess were now looking at photo modes for some sort of saving grace?
They're probably just trademarking Xbox Series X|S as a logo, as that's how its collectively referred to by most.
Environmental conditions for the garage scenes are different on the PS5. For every scene where conditions are the same (6:28, for instance) both PS5 and Series X look identical

We tend to like smarter options ... PS5 Digital, for instance, which retains all of PS5's power while being $100 cheaper.
"Boi just you wait!" has been Xbox's anthem since about 2011.
They'd be stupid not to wait. That doesn't mean the $400/$500 price wasn't decided early. They simply waited to make sure MS wouldn't undercut that price. Had MS announced a cheaper price then Sony would've simply readjusted.
"Well, XbOx hAs nO gaMes, so why not just use it to play games that PS5 can't play?"
I think Dark Souls is just as varied, but the variety can be hard to note since the game is more open, and the segues between areas happens more gradual. Firelink Shrine and Blighttown are like day and night for instance, but the change in tone is made gradual as you pass from Shrine to Undead Burg to Lower Undead Burg to The Depths then finally Blighttown.
Bragging about a soulless company's worth is something basement nerds do.
Man, can’t wait for this game to come out!
