It's not just that "emulation is a complex task", there isn't powerful enough hardware to handle emulation of the GPU and CPU of PS360. Also, to make an emulator you'd need a computer that is dozens of times more powerful than PS360 in order to test it properly.
As I said before, the GPUs in the market today are, at best, 3-4 times more powerful than the GPUs found on PS360, but console games can take advantage of their own GPUs a whole lot more than PCs, so basically...
Why do you like to play dumb? As realists are pointing out, the Wii is just Gamecube 1.2, so naturally it's easy to emulate by a PC. The "Loads of processing power" argument doesn't help your point, since the "Loads" used for Wii evidently can't be used to emulate 360 or PS3.
Yeah, the GPUs in PCs are more powerful than PS3 and 360 GPUs, and they have more RAM, but as far as CPUs go, the most powerful CPUs right now barely outperform the 360 CPU, and the PS3...
Xbox fanboys are saying this game looks better than Killzone 2. LMAO
I don't want to play with cartoons anymore. I bought FTOD and I'll probably buy this if it's good, but I would rather see Insomniac's rumoured Action Puzzle Platforming RPG if it's true. Hopefully it'll be an M-rated Zelda.
Gears is not even Microsoft owned. Heavy Rain probably will, just like Lair, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, Resistance, etcetera.
Microsoft finds quick ways to get "exclusives" that will appear eventually on other platforms. They also find ways to get former exclusives on their platform. But the thing is, these are all quick fixes. Microsoft doesn't get involved, doesn't buy IP or devs, they don't grow the library that differentiates their platforms from the competition. Th...
I doubt they will simply let their fanbase out in the cold. It's likely that exclusives for 360 will start popping out close to E3, that's how Microsoft works.
I wouldn't be very surprised if Alan Wake, Halo: ODST, a Rare game and Halo Chronicles hit the 360 in december, along with Bioshock 2 as a timed exclusive. I would have said Mass Effect 2 but I think devs have already confirmed a 2010 release.
This gen is fine
With a reminder of PS3's actual install base, not last year's install base.
Even if costs are rising, new machines don't necessarily mean rising costs. Correlation doesn't mean causation. The reason games have risen in terms of costs is because publishers themselves have raised the bar through more expensive games. Sure, machines have enabled them to do so, but just because new machines enable them to do more it doesn't mean they're forced to pay more. That's why 3rd party middleware use is being used a lot this generation and will keep growing, in order to keep cost...
FTW
Enjoy your RROD, losers :)
" even the wii has more people using online then the PSN. try alittle hard next time. "
If you want to own, at least give some actual facts (or proof if you got it)
It seems like someone's a little ass-sore from above.
Vega75 just got raped up his "fat ass" by action bastard hahaha
They should have at least left the option to turn it on. But then again, maybe they want a T-rating? If it sells better that would be a great re-start for Team Ninja. Or perhaps with enough feedback it'll come back. Who knows, maybe it'll look better with "purple essence".
Still, is it that important? I thought you Xbox guys were all about "teh fun" and "teh gaming/playing/buying games" and not violence whores? After all, didn't you guys buy into ...
Namco chose the wrong console to put JRPGs this gen. Let's see what happens next-gen when all the sequels to their games come out, who's gonna care? The 100,000 that bought the originals? Microsoft won't even have to pay a big fee next-time, what a brilliant move.
Resorting to insulting others' moms is pretty weak. LOL @ Xtards screaming "OWNAGE!!!111". How old are you, Xtards?
@ disagrees, I guess flower didn't get great reviews? poor xtards.
"but teh sales"
That "screensaver" got great reviews, dipsh1ts.
for PS3, 360 and PSP? No sane parent is gonna shell out hundreds of dollars just for a hannah montana low quality toy software and hardware that is mostly oriented towards the 18-35 male crowd.
The trees look sh1tty but the rest looks OK. It does have a few next-gen elements like the character models (average, not bad). The gameplay seems all about mini-games and socializing with teens.
This game is probably gonna get slammed by reviewers though. Is there any reviewe...
Valve is anti-PS3 because they don't want to make a new engine, they would rather stay with their obsolete last-gen engine. Konami doesn't hate Xbox 360, the problem with Xbox 360 is that its lack of HDD and lack of next-generation optical drive made it impossible or very difficult to port this game.
Making it for 360 would have basically been making a last-gen game with higher res assets, and Konami's focus groups probably told them that's not what gamers want, which is why th...
