Even though Sony will likely be able to deal with this what if they can't? Not even MS has fully dealt with 360 piracy, Nintendo couldn't stop DS piracy and Sony couldn't stop PSP piracy.
Sony really should have made a response by now.
But if it is just code, wouldn't the hackers just be able to patch theirs as well?
I just find it hard to believe that anything is unhackable, and the fact that they have finally found a method all they need to do is keep it updated, especially if its just software based.
Thats exactly what I was thinking. Sure Sony can make a patch but whose saying the hackers can't crack that like they did the PSP?
The only way Sony was able to beat them was by releasing a whole new PSP. And if that happens expect the hardware and software sales of the PS3 to mirror the PSP.
If both the PSP and PS3 fall to serious piracy it could be the end of the playstation brand.
I know im being a little bit extreme but this will happ...
It's good its finally broke the 100th mark, but it needs to do a lot better if its going to make any impact for the PS3. Hopefully it will pass Kinect buy the time it releases.
No Halo:Reach or GT5? Am I missing something here?
Come to think about it how do you even pause Kinect games anyway?
Im guessing the game paused here because he did a position which wasn't expected (like no feet on the ground) or he was out of range.
Being 188th is nothing to shout about.
If the quality of this game is anywhere near that of Persona it will be a must have. Heres hoping it makes it over to the west.
Kinect recommended distance is 6 feet right?
Didn't think Move would require more space.
Edit: Whats up with N4G you can't approve anything.
@TotalPS3Fanboy
It still means the same really, you are going to require a decent amount of space for either motion controller, just slightly more with Move.
"my phones got a bigger screen."
Are you serious!? Your phone must be huge!! An iPad is 9", a laptop is 13" and your phone has a bigger screen than that!? What do you carry it in? A car? Wow lol.
But seriously the average bedroom screen is from 16"-26". So this won't be a major problem for film 3D which you will likely watch in your living room, but for gaming 3D, which most do in their bedroom this will be automatic fail. <...
So no bedroom 3D then?
Thats a major downer for gamers :(
"According to Microsoft, Kinect was running on an improved version of the software used during E3 in June. The manufacturer is set to make further improvements before the camera's November debut."
With more than 3 months to go it should work flawlessly at launch.
Seems wise not to confuse new consumers with to many SKUs at launch. No doubt it will come out some time next year.
As for HDD space add 2 usbs for 36GBs.
"However, EA has noted that it has no plans to release the first Mass Effect game on PS3, robbing PlayStation types of the chance to 'carry on' their story from ME1 into its sequel."
Would anyone really want to play the second one without the first? I remember the only negative point in IGNs review of ME2 was the fact that it refers to the first game too much.
Unlikely, Kinect games will remain exclusive especially if they use 3D leg tracking. Something that Move can't do even with the controllers.
ME2 is better than nothing, but the story will be very hard to follow without 1.
Oh boy.......
Not really, without the first its like getting half a game.
There are so many choices which carry over the experience won't feel as personal.
Hopefully they do something new with it. Because I think everyone agrees its getting a little stale.
But MS can detect the 360 mods yet people still get by it, this will likely be the same.
