You know all of their games had a bunch of roaming, right? Halo games were praised for their big levels and the sandbox nature of it all. Halo 4 was bashed for being more of a corridor shooter without big levels.

Are you saying the good Halo games don't deserve the praise they've gotten?

It's got a hub world where a bunch of people meet up and can set up raids and whatnot, that's about as MMO as it gets for this game, still not an MMO though.

I'm fine with that, MMOs bore me. Give me solid gameplay, good lore, unique worlds, and stop trying to tell me this is some revolutionary experience because it's looking pretty standard to me.

Looks pretty standard. I don't like how they're trying to sell it like a completely new experience, like nothing we've seen. Sure, it's got a hub-world, which is new for an FPS (AFAIK) but we've seen it done almost 20 years ago with PSO.

I like the ambition though, and I'm hoping the lore and locales will be unique and well built, but other than that, nothing really special. All I'm hoping for is solid gameplay, and that can't be conveyed throu...

It's not an MMO, it's a shared world game. It's got an MMO-esque world that acts as a hub to meet people and set up raids, but when going out to fight enemies, it's co-op.

Aside from the hub world, this game doesn't do much of anything "new", and even a hub world isn't new. I guess a hub world is new for an FPS but Phantasy Star Online started it almost 20 years ago, then you would go out and fight monsters with people you meet or know in a c...

Most multiplats wouldn't exist if they didn't come to consoles, and you should be happy that there's a new generation. Consoles are almost always the main target for 3rd party devs, they have to make their games work well on them because that's where the games are gonna sell the most and make the most money. PC gets upressed ports with some better details and effects.

New console generations don't just mean better looking console games, it also means much ...

They shouldn't have made it similar to Smash while taking out what made Smash... A Smashing hit. The entire feel of the game felt lifeless since the only way to score is to use powerups and the entire fighting system felt really bland and too easy to grasp and master.

I wanted something like Powerstone or maybe even Anarchy Reigns, not just a straight Smash rip-off without what made Smash what it is.

Depends on your tastes. BF4 and Titanfall do some things right and they both do some things wrong (or I guess they both do things I like and don't like). Titanfall is a much more consistent experience though.

It's not lacking "some" content, it's lacking a ton of content. Forza 4 came with 500 cars and 20+ tracks, Forza 5 came with 200 cars and 14 tracks. Oh, but now you can get a fuller experience if you pay for the season pass...

The graphical quality of the game also ranged from PS2 era crowds to good looking car models but with a ton of aliasing. That screams unpolished to me. Sure, graphics are only a small part of "polish", but there's such li...

Yup. I'll take delaying it further to make sure it's right, but I'm probably in the minority.

The PS3 and PS4 have had some updates that could potentially brick the systems under certain circumstances, and those updates weren't as substantial as this one. I hope Sony tests this new firmware out in every way possible to avoid these possible problems.

"Didn't see this coming", those words played through my head all throughout my playthroughs of the previous games. Wii U system seller for me.

Nope, that was this past weekend. Sony made this happen after the flash sale. Trolls man. The flash sale would've been even crazier if this happened sooner, well atleast more people would have bought games. I say it would've been crazier because people were on the fence about buying because they wanted the games on Vita.

100% real. A lot of the PS1 games don't play very well though, not sure about PSP.

It's working for me, CTR is anyway. Still downloading the others Spyro/Crash games.

Edit: I'm thinking they all work because Spyro The Dragon works too, but they're all also letterboxed on all sides which really erks me. It's like playing with a Gameboy. Performance isn't too great either with stuttering happening at random intervals.

@Pornflakes:

The attache rate for the PS4 is 2.93 and the X1 is 2.9... So the attach rate is lower and yet the numbers say they're practically even except they lean slightly towards the PS4's favor... Right.

@kneon:

Yup, launch to the end of December didn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. It consisted of 4 million sales for the PS4 and 3 million sales for the Xbox One.

Since then, the PS4 has sold 3 million consoles in 3 months, that's a million consoles a month. The Xbox One has done 1.0-1.5 million consoles in 3 months... That's not exactly good. The 360 did better on average in the same time period and it was also supply constrained.

Nobody ever acknowledges the headstart of the 360. If two people were racing and someone gets a 10 minute headstart and the other person (without the headstart) catches up and is on track to winning... Well, that's damn impressive.

The 360 did 82 million in 8 years and the PS3 did it in 7. The PS3 isn't gonna drop off like the 360 either.

Well, not just graphics but world size and whatnot too. If Persona 5 is supposed to be about freedom and shackles, then I have a feeling the world might be more explorable. The Vita doesn't have many open world games, but there is Gravity Rush and Gravity Rush looks great, but being sub-native res it hurts the eyes, the art design saves it. It also has a problem with texture streaming for far off objects, but the devs were smart and made that part of the art design.

Depends if the Vita can handle Persona 5, but if it can, it'd likely be called Persona 5 Crimson or something since red is the theme (Persona 4's theme was yellow and the handheld version was Persona 4 Golden).
