Yup. The Kinect's mic is about $2 and the camera and lens are about $75. Future Xbox Ones should just come with a mic array that you plug in like the Kinect but without a camera.

The 360 came a year earlier and it's tied with the PS3... Doesn't sound to good to me. I know a couple people who had to buy new 360s because their old ones failed and MS wouldn't replace them. This was very early in the lifecycle, before MS started replacing them. So who knows how many of the 80 mil 360s sold are dead consoles?
When devs who work on the thing and should be promoting it instead call it irrelevant, you know shit is bad. Supposedly MS can't take the Kinect out for contract/legal reasons or something, or they have to eat the cost of not including it, but hopefully they do remove it ASAP.

@MrKrispy: Nobody's denying that it's selling, we're just saying that MS never commented on sales, only shipments. We've only had NPD reports to know how much it's selling, and it's around 3.4-3.6.
There's a ton of dips in both versions, though, and it looks like a last-gen game. It also runs really bad on AMD cards. I'm fine with the graphics but there's no reason it should be running the way it does while looking the way it does.
Hopefully they release patches soon. I don't want the sequel to run on Source either, and hopefully the sequel is better optimized at launch.

Sure, Bethesda will continue to make them, but this game was costly as hell to make. Zenimax, the publisher, is gonna be bleeding money if this game doesn't catch on, and from what I've heard about the Beta, it's not gonna catch on. That doesn't bode well for the company as a whole, people are gonna get laid off, funding for other games is gonna be cut, etc. I won't bet on seeing a new TES game for a long time.

Why did they have to go and make an MMO? The ESO games are all about getting lost in the worlds, MMOs don't lend themselves to that very well. They should've just made a regular entry but with co-op/PVP elements.
Needs some games. KH3 and FFXV should help it out. ATLUS needs to bring Persona 5 to the PS4.

Yup, but even in shared markets, the PS4 still dominates. I wonder when the X1 is gonna go to Tier 2/3 countries, probably not soon. Europeans have made it clear that they want PS4s and Sony consoles in general.

That would suck. He's the one guy I really like at Xbox, Major Nelson comes off douchey but he's alright. I just recently realized that a large part of the reason I hated MS last gen was because of Don Mattrick. A large part of the 360's later life woes are his fault and every problem about the X1 came about because of him, or I guess he wouldn't call it "his fault" since he doesn't see the fault in it.
