Buy a new copy of Windows? Isn't that sort of reaching? Most people have Win 7 by now and you only need Win 7 to play it. Why would anyone with Win 7 update their OS just to play a game that doesn't require Win 8? Sure, buying a new PC or upgrading the OS at all would give MS the money, but most people won't be doing any of that just for Titanfall.
And OS/PC/360 sales aren't as crucial as X1 hardware sales and that's what MS is hoping to boost with Titanfa...
I agree wirh Curtis. MS put so much money into advertising Titanfall, nevermind buying the exclusive rights to it. That money could have went to another MS exclusive, a real exclusive, not a 3rd party exclusive that's available on 2 other systems. That would mean everyone would have Titanfall to look forward to and Xbox One owners would have that other exclusive MS could have funded, instead we get one game.
What would you guys rather want? One or two games? Sure one of t...
If this is what you consider an answer, do you bubble in everything on an answer sheet for a test too? This "answer" can literally mean anything because it's so vague. I know what the answer is probably going to be but I can't be certain, but hopefully it's that they're going to release more recent, quality games. The easiest way to do that is to drop that "keep it forever" thing they have going, publishers don't like the sound of that when it comes to ...
@Pinkdolphin:
You know the PS4's sales would be higher if it wasn't supply constrained, right? The PS4 might be available in more areas but even in countries where both consoles are available, the PS4 outsells the X1 from 2:1 up to 4:1 and possibly 5:1.
So if the PS4 was only available in the same 13 markets as the X1, it would have much less supply issues and they'd be able too fill demand much easier. The number of systems sold for each market w...
It's funny when people say they should keep Kinect because the OS is hard to use without it... Well then revamp the OS to work better with the controller and that won't be a problem. I don't care about MS's wasted time, they shouldn't have spent so much of it on the damn thing, that goes for their money too. I care about my wallet and I'm sure most people do too.
@FanboyKilla:
Implying that PS4 owners don't own both or even a 360 or PC... I'll be playing the game on my crappy PC that ran the Beta really well. No need to go out spending an extra $500 just to play one game I can already play for just $50. Actually, it would cost me $620 to play it on the X1, $500 for the console and $120 for XBL and Titanfall.
I'm not very fond of jar dropping.
And what have these Azure servers done for games that could not have been done otherwise? AI? A ton of shooters and non-shooter MP games have had modes where you can substitute missing players with bots, and most of those bots from most of those games are a hell of a lot more competent than Titanfall's AI and none of those games had Azure servers.
Forza 5's use of Azure servers? They use it to store data about how you drive and they download them into other people'...
I've heard a "feminist" say; "If by some chance a man ever implants his disgusting seed in me and I get pregnant with a boy, I'm not feeding that baby any of my breast milk just so he can grow up to be another man who puts woman down". That's not feminism. That's anti-male/sexism and more importantly neglecting your child.
These "femminists" give real feminists a bad name.
@Tedakin:
Killer Instinct is amazing but the game has online issues. Apparently, you can disconnect from online games and they won't alert you about it. Instead they'll replace your online opponent with an AI so you can beat the crap out of it. It might look like there's no lag, but that's because you're not even fighting a real person. That's shady as hell and they need to fix that.
Project Spark isn't a huge online world, it does...
"Multiplayer games are only good if the developers support the game". He didn't say BF4 is bad because of XBL, he's saying XBL doesn't improve BF4 anymore than PSN or PC servers do. BF4 is a broken mess because of the devs.
MS is saying their system is the best for MP games and it will "enhance" all of your MP gaming needs, but it won't solve broken games.
Really? I dressed up my guy in Dark Souls like a badass motherfucker. I did that in Skyrim too, with mods. I also did that in MGS2-4 to blend in and all of the Hitman games too.
I'm also pretty sure this big game from last year let you dress up your character(s) too. I think it was called GTAV.
"Dressing up" your characters didn't create DLC. DLC's been around for a long time, back then they were called expansion packs because you had to...
6v6 and bots are a problem for me and many others. It's not "hating", it's just constructive criticism. I loved the mobility and overall feel of the game but I want a challenge and most of my play time was not challenging because of the bots and lack of players in the big maps. Titan battles were cool though.
I'm sure Respawn could have found a way to make 12v12 work but they wanted bots in the game to allow you to shorten the Titan cooldown. Why not jus...
Yup. It looks really tacky. Should've just gone with the Infamous SS logo on the shiny plastic part, maybe some tagging on the system, and make the matte part smokey grey with sparks on it or something. Maybe make the system's LED light at the top shine violet, red, and/or some other Infamous SS related colors instead of the standard blue and white.
The down button is used for the super attacks like in the previous games, but that's about it, I think.
I was hoping dash would be on L1, special attack was on R1, and to use a heavy attack you had to hold the R2 button. Oh well, I'm cool with this. I also hope they let you change the aiming sensitivity a little more than just with "low", "medium", and "fast". It should always be a scale, no more presets.

If any dev is to explain anything about the technology and techniques they're using, whether ancient or state of the art, without dumbing it down for people like you, they'd be using big words...
It's 960 because one frame is outputting 960 and the next frame is outputting a different 960. This technique can't be seen by the eye when you speed it up...
What's funny is MS stopped most 360 support back in 2011, this should mean they had a ton of time to work on X1 games to make its library a lot better. Sony fully supported the PS3 and they still are, yet they still have more 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party exclusives on the PS4 than the X1 does.
This leads me to ask the question, what the hell did MS do during the 2 years they were coastin on with the 360? I hope they didn't spend all of that time with the Kinect.
Faster processor? You know it's the same exact processor in the PS4, right? They just clocked it faster, maybe, we don't even know what the PS4's is clocked at actually. We do know the ICE team made some significant improvements to it, though.
It's the Kinect and the eSRAM that cost a lot. The "external charger" is just a power brick and all systems have them, whether or not they're internal or external doesn't really do much to the price.
Yup. Mattrick came to the Xbox division in 2007 and became president in 2010. Around that time, the Xbox division started sucking, badly. Big push for Kinect 1.0, Mattrick. 1 major exclusive every year and it was from one of 3 large franchises, Mattrick. Every blunder from the X1 from Kinect 2.0 to weak hardware and DRM, all Don Mattrick.
I'm sure he wasn't the guy who pioneered these ideas, but they came into fruition under his leadership and he seemed to be fond of ...
