Lack of features? It's the only console that I can play games across the planet with on my phone. It's the only family of consoles that allows for what might be the future of gaming, streaming, which I hope improves in pricing. It's the only console where you can share your games with others without installing anything. Etc.

But none of that matters because the UI is meh and there's not enough ways to watch media on it.

@Septic: Adam Boyes actually does some good though since he urged the PS4 designers to go with 8GB of RAM after having an "epiphany" when told by numerous devs that Sony never listens. He's also the main guy who communicates with 3rd parties and he's doing a pretty swell job at it. The only trolling-ish thing he did was that sharing video during E3, which wasn't really bad since it got MS a ton of bad press which sort of forced them to change the policies.

@ReturnToSanity:

The Gran Turismo franchise has games that have hit or broken 10 million sales 4 times (GT3 almost hit 15 million). The only Halo game to hit 10 million (actually closer to 12 million) was Halo 3.

All of the Halo games combined (except for Halo MCC and Spartan Assault) can't even beat 5 of the best selling GT games.

GT 10.85
GT2 9.37
GT3 14.89
GT4 11.44

@nicksetzer1:

Ori is in the same ballpark as a lot of the indie games that people disregarded on the PS4 like Transistor, Don't Starve, etc. Sure, it's not indie in that it's published by MS, but the studio describes themselves as an indie studio and the game has an aesthetic and "feel" similar to other indie games.

I'm not sure about Screamride but I'm willing to try it out since I loved the Rollercoaster Tycoon games, but if th...

Nothing is ever enough, sure, that's hedonism for you, but companies should still strive for the best they can possibly do. Your type of thinking is what allows for mediocrity and complacency. You could just as easily have said "Would you be okay with them raising the price of XBL to accommodate for Games with Gold?" 2 years ago, and maybe they never would have come out with the program if enough people thought the same way you thought.

And they don't even n...

@lfc:

Of course I realize this, but it's all about how devs go about it. They can use half of the extra power for GPGPU and the other half for regular GPU processing, that's still better than what the Xbox One can offer.

Devs might need to use GPGPU processing for the Xbox One too, if they're using the PS4's for certain tasks and want gameplay parity, and that's gonna be really bad for the GPU.

1080 x 1920 = 2073600
900 x 1600 = 1440000
720 x 1280 = 921600

1080p has more than 100% pixels than 720p and 44% more pixels than 900p.

But how many pixels isn't everything that a more powerful GPU can allow for. The PS4 also tends to have better overall assets.

The Xbox One may have a few games with slightly better framerates because of the 9% CPU upclock, but a small up clock like that pa...

Wait... MLB and FFXIV are multiplatform games according to you, and that's bad? I'll concede FFXIV because it's been out on other platforms for a while, but I guess that also makes the XBO's overall lineup pretty terrible too.

Forza Horizon 2 is multiplstform, according to your standards, as is Project Spark, Max, DR3, Ryse, Titanfall, and plenty of other XBO games.

I'll concede the remakes thing as I think TL...

Again, nobody's saying there's no foliage on the XBO version, but there's significantly less compared to the PS4 version. I mean, come on man, you can clearly see there's foliage on the XBO screenshots.

The 360 and PS3 versions had almost no grass, it was just that ugly ground texture. Those XBO shots atleast have foliage, it's just not as dense as the PS4's, but it's so much more than on the previous consoles.

The IQ on the PS3/360 versions was also not anywhere near this clean. There's also improved shadows and the map doesn't have the black outline like it did on the previous consoles. These are very clearly PS4 and XBO captures.

It was a big talking point with the 360 and plenty of multiplats that looked considerably better on it. Hell, "grassgate" was a thing with games like Mafia II and RDR. The PS3 got a ton of crap for having inferior versions of those two games, now it doesn't matter. A little consistency would be nice.

Crackdown 3 and Scalebound aren't coming out in 2015.

"Insert bunch of indies available on Ouya", touts Ori and Inside but leaves off games like Rime, The Tomorrow Children, WiLD, The Witness, etc.

Also includes Tomb Raider, a timed exclusive game.

That leaves you with Halo 5, Fable Legends, and Project Spark as the real non-indie like exclusives for 2015.

If you want to count timed exclusive games, then you sho...

The PS3 used to cost $850 to manufacture, if they were really that confident, they wouldn't have taken the $250 loss by selling it at $600. Sure, the messaging was overconfident, but the pricing wasn't. They were going broke just selling it at $600, go any lower and there probably wouldn't be a Sony anymore.

They were pushing wi-fi and blu-ray, which were both very expensive at the time, now those two are standards. Blu-ray might not have been a standard if Sony d...

Increase the FOV. That solves your problem, though everything on the side seems scrunched, which is even more realistic since it's sort of like your distorted peripheral vision.

And 3rd person view gives you far more than a 180 degree view.

Shareplay or no shareplay. Take your pick.

It's also funny that you have a problem with 720p, seeing as your preferred console has a number of games running at that resolution, natively.

Sorry for the essay, but making it shorter would mean I wouldn't be addressing all of your points fully.

Sony's losing money on 2 divisions, and every other division makes enough money to cover for those losses. That's how business works, you have operating losses and hopefully revenue covers it so you can continue, which it seems like Sony is bound to do.

You talk like MS dropping billions on exclusives is really a good thing too. What they need ...

You kind of just did compare the PS4 to Hitler.

Anyway, MS isn't gonna be the one to win (or even tie with the PS4) if they don't somehow get their ROTW presence up. Remember, the 360 had a year headstart and the virtue of being $200 cheaper, and the PS3 still tied with it, and if the trajectory keeps going, it's gonna get more overall sales.

The super handicapped PS3 caught up, so what do you think the non-handicapped, super-buffed PS4 is going t...
