Because Nintendo still have a rather large consumer base and even though many of them have yet to of purchased a Wii U (myself included) they will no doubt eventually, especially when more big 1st party Nintendo titles come out and 3rd party titles such as Monolith soft's X and Platinum games Bayonetta 2.

I would really like to know why you think the Wii U is inferior rubbish? The PS4 and next box aren't even out yet and their specs are yet to be known, so how can it be the inferior product when there is no competition for it yet? Speculation is really all you have to go on right now.
Even if the Wii U is graphically inferior to the PS4 and nextbox that still doesn't count, since graphical fidelity does not dictate whether a console is "next gen" for a consol...

The Wii only did poorly in regards to 3rd party support when you look at it from the hardcore gamer perspective. Nintendo's Wii and their 3rd party support did incredibly well with the console casual market Nintendo pretty much established, so well in fact that both Sony and MS wanted a piece of the pie.

Okay, first of all the fact Nintendo has support from Retro Studios, Monolith Soft, Platinum Games, Capcom, Konami and Tecmo Koei to name a few, proves their 3rd part support isn't week.
Secondly, the PS4 and nextbox aren't even out yet, we know nothing about their specs or market strategy's, so only an idiot would factor them in when it comes judging whether or not they will steer 3rd party support away from Wii U.

If we look back at the Sega Dreamcast and why that failed, it was largely due to lack of funds, poor 3rd party support and Sega no longer being in a position to keep supporting it.
Nintendo doesn't have these problems, they also have some decent 3rd party support this gen and have already hooked many Ninty fans with promise of 1st party exclusives.

Do you think Gearbox had this planed from the start? Get the Aliens licence, palm the game off to an outside source and use Sega's cash to fund Border lands 2? Only Time Gate's work on ACM was way poorer than expected.

Unbelievable, has anyone checked the user accounts of the fans Randy Pitchford is replying to and thanking for all the praise towards A:CM? They look brand new! a week old if that and most of them still have their default display pictures.
