It wouldn't be necessary if they actually tried to adapt to the changing industry instead of nickel and diming us in an attempt to stay relevant.
It's just unacceptable the sheer amount of content that gets held bacj purely to be resold in the form of DLC, if micro transaction are a nesecary evil then they need to benefit more than just the publishers.
It wouldn't be the 1st time the gaming industry have tried it.
@newmonday
You're fighting Dragons and yelling "fu ro dah" there's only so much emersion you can have in such a fantastical setting.
I agree that more realistic facial animations would help, but so would better voice acting, less glitches, lag and the like.
I never hear devs talk about preventing glitches, other bugs and reducing lag.
8.5/10? Probably as representative a score as all the 9's and 10's the main game was getting...
Well I'll play this just to see if it's any good but I'm not holding back my criticism if it isn't.
He's being satirical, David Cage is always talking out of his arse and especially during the Sony conference in regards to "emotions" I don't know about you but I think games have been plenty emotional over the years without the need to convey them through high poligonal character models, It's a nice inclusion now the tech can allow for it but it is in no way integral to gaming.
I think the poor French impression was part of the gag though...
Sounds great! good look everyone.
When you have 2 awful games as like DNF and A:CM I don't think it really matters which one is the most crap.
Which is a big shame since I think the franchise would benefit from a rest and a next gen makeover, but Ubisoft seem content on milking it to death in CoD fashion instead.
@ Nimblest-Assassin
Developers always say "we know what went wrong" or "we're getting back to the what made the franchise good" and "we listened to the fans and blah blah blah (generic statement) "
Honestly, I would be extremely careful in...
Im all for having more assassins creed if it actually tried to mix things up a bit, it's jut too samey and tedious now, they need to let the franchise rest and bring it back next gen with a complete overhaul.
Keep buying the same thing over and over and that's what you'll get just like the CoD crowd.
My only problems with the game so far is, I keep getting pulled out of the action every 5 minuets for a cutscene or a brief chat on the codec...
I know it's a MG game but it's hard getting immersed in the combat when it's so brief, intermittent and broken by cutscenes and chatter that could be going on in the background.
He probably gets fan requests daily, I dubt he finds time not to think about it lol.
It does feel as if the franchise is getting milked, maybe if they just waited longer between sequels and implemented some unique game mechanics more people would start showing interest again.
No, but you are supposed to play with a certain level of consideration for other players, having fun at the expense of others doesn't strike me as an integral part of gaming.
Harmless trolling is fine, but insulting other peoples race, gender or sexual orientation is just plain juvenile.
(Edit)
Well people actually do these things to troll other players too, but yeah you made your point.
Almost Two-Thirds Of Gamers Admit 'Trolling' Online
And that's only the people admitting to it...
well. that's news /s
At the very least they should show some gameplay, it always strikes me as odd when a trailer is nothing but CGI, that isn't what I'll be getting if I buy the game so why waste my time? show me the actual game and if it's any good I'll buy it.
(SAE)
That's fine, but trailers designed to sell a game should show gameplay, I don't condone using hype to sell a product when what's being shown has little resemblance and not much to do w...
Yeah that is true, I don't mind people mentioning that Nintendo aren't doing well and even more so if they truly aren't, but these doom articles and people commenting on them aren't concerned for Nintendo, they are just pointing and laughing because a company they dislike is doing poorly, it's pathetic, juvenile and it needs to stop.
Breath of fire and Legends of legaia need to make a return too.
Nice list but you're missing onimusha warlords 3, one of the best game intros ever IMO.
Consoles don't last forever, when my PS3 inevitably dies am I supposed to buy one again just because PS3 games aren't compatible with the PS4? as far as Im concerned there is no justifiable reason for a lack of BC.
It seems to me it is just another attempt to stamp out the used games market, of course Sony don't want you spending money on used games to play on a new console when you could be buying PS4 games, that's business after all.
It mite...
