I disregard other M because it really does a great disservice to Samus not only as female character but as a video game girl Icon.
There are great many opinions and viewpoints regarding just exactly what Samus's personality is, the problem with other M though, is that it chooses to ignore them and portrays Samus as a submissive, whiney, daddy's girl, who wouldn't act to save her own life unless given the OK to by the dominant male figure portrayed by Adam.

My problem is Anita is notoriously biased, she plays off of being the victim and drags up tired old arguments about problems that the industry is tackling even now.

Oh she is nothing but buzzwords and spreading misinformation, I know she still has more vids to go but it'll probably be more tired arguments with no real helpful resolution given.
I understand people will criticise something when they have legitimate concerns such as what you said.
But honestly for the most part we just get notorious trolls outright bashing Nintendo on any article that represents them in a negative light, and like a bunch of morons people actually agree with the tripe they are spewing... It's mind boggling and needs to stop.
Anyway if you want Nintendo to improve then Im definitely with you on that.

It is true that both Demons Souls and Dark Souls have multiplayer integrated into them but "multiplayer" is not a core focus.
The ability to leave messages is both a help and a hindrance since they are often vague and misleading you can't really trust them.
The ability to receive help from other players who are online is countered by the fact that your world could be invaded at anytime dur...
I keep repeating this but I'll say it again since it's valid to this discussion, Im not a fan of any of the big 3, Im a consumer 1st and foremost, if I see a product that appeals to me I'll purchase it, if I don't like something I just assume it's not for me and move on, I don't criticise and hate it just because Im not the target demographic.

I would say just stop buying their games and supporting them, only problem now though is there are so many gamers who are out of the info loop, who are either blissfully ignorant to these mispractices or just plain don't care.

It would just cause the whole franchise to become a total mess like every other Single player game that's had coop forced into it.
It's a nice idea but it wouldn't be done well and would no doubt end up as a key feature if not a selling point.
There are barely any decent single player games left I don't see the point of making everything multiplayer especially when it's better off without it.
No it doesn't, the Souls games are intended as single player games and only have minor cooperative elements.
Start messing with the key formula and you'll just kill the franchise...

Another point a user made right here on N4G (I forget who) was that we constantly demonise people who are portrayed as our enemies in games, and like you say they are much more often than not male in gender.

Anita is just fuelling the flames of a long time debate with absolutely no intent in offering any advice or opinions on how or what should be done to solve this apparent problem she's so concerned about.
Or better yet start up a games company that produces games that she feels represents women in what she considers is the "correct" way.

Thanks for that, Im not honestly sure how pre-orders are handled in the US but if their great incentives like cash back and gift cards it must be a very popular method of purchase.
Like I said Im not against pre-ordering but it's always good to stay in the know about what we are purchasing.
