Well the first day of a price cut is always shows the largest spike, so it doesn't really matter if the next week is a full 7 days, and that being said, last week saw plenty of new releases for the Wii as well. So assuming that Wii sales would increase on the second week of a price cut seems unlikely to me.
It's just funny to me that they always seem to underpredict Playstation 3 sales, but are overly optmimistic about the Wii. I guess we'll just have to wait and see for more ...
hold on so they expect the Wii to outsell the PS3 on the second week of a Wii price cut when they failed to outsell the PS3 the first week of the price cut?
Not only that, their preliminary data shows the PS3 with 4 games in the top 20 and the Wii with 3 games in the top 20 and they still think the Wii will outsell the PS3? Alright well I guess everyone's entitled to their own oppinions
Yes it is a parody, the game does not take itself too seriously. The main premise revolves around the King declaring that everything within his kingdom be made 3D to increase tourism
Wow I think some people take these things waaay too seriously. This is a parody of Zelda, meaning that the game does not take itself too seriously, unlike the Legend of Zelda series.
If you don't like it, fine, but I'm excited for this game as are alot of other playstation owners.
Actually XDF Uncharted 1 received a 4.25 not a 4.00, but nice try.
Never mind Mr. Sumimora, he's just jealous. If Forza 3 really was the "definitive" racer of the generation why are you here commenting on Gran Turismo articles?
Shouldn't you be over in the "definitive" articles? Oh, that's right you're just a sad insecure little person. Have fun trolling
Actually, the Wii price cut is in next weeks numbers, but still it's a stupid article. If sales for the playstation hover between 30 and 40,000 on a week with no new releases, I'd say that's definitely enough to make them the number 1 console in Japan
But is still 5 times the sale of 360 and twice the sales of Wii
but keep trying, you're trolling amuse and delight
Then buy Forza 3 instead of GT5, no one here will mind. You come here, to an article about Gran Turismo, and do nothing but mention the competition. If you really want to make a difference email your complaints to someone who has the power to change things.
On top of that, stop acting like everything said in this list is the end all be all. Earlier at Gamescon it was stated that not all cars would have damage. Now, it's known that all cars will have damage, but the level of dam...
Yeah, great idea strikepackage announce everything you intend to have in the game 6 months to a year in advance so that when something has to be cut, people like you b*tch and moan about it.
I'm not saying that more information wouldn't be nice, but come on give Polyphony the benefit of the doubt since they have yet to disappoint their fans.
And I'd gladly wait an extra 3 months to have the greatest simulation racing game ever release, then have them rush it out...
Try harder strikepackage, your attempts at trolling seem to be going unnoticed.
IF you're really that concerned, and think that forza will be better than GT then why don't you kindly leave the rest of the REAL fans alone and take your negativity back to the Forza boards.
It's funny that people like you spend more time commenting on Gran Turismo news than you do Forza.
No one knows how many tracks there will be, so until something official is confirmed why don't you kindly shut your mouth. All the criticisms you mention for Gran Turismo can also be directed towards Forza. Forza has 400 cars spread across 2 dvds, for all you know it could be the same skyline or mercedes duplicated again and again.
It was also my understanding that ...
Well I understood it to be 20 different locations, with a total of 70 courses from those locations.
Maybe you should read more carefully, or wait for Polyphony Digital to confirm your fears before you freak out
Wait... I'm confused did Microsoft have a keynote? ... how about Nintendo?
Oh that's right, Sony was the only one with a keynote. But instead of taking things at face value, let's b*tch and moan about how Sony's keynote sucked.
Bravo wired, bravo
/sarcasm
You know what you're right Product. I always get upset when people judge consoles at the beginning of their lifespan with consoles that are at the end of their lifespan. I guess I just felt like you guys weren't giving the Ps2 it's do's, but I was wrong, I re-read what you wrote, and you guys make alot of sense.
I think that if Wii continues at this rate, it'll outsell Ps2 but we'll just have to wait and see.
And N4F no one's saying that the Wii is doomed, but to act like the playstation 2's accomplishments are insignificant because of pricing is stupid.
I really don't care about sales, but if you're going to play the sales card look at the whole picture and don't choose selective pieces of information. In my oppinion playstation is still king because of all of their quality exclusives, but you probably disagree with me and that's fine.
It's okay to have different op...
Look product, I wasn't trying to say that the Wii wasn't a "hardcore" system, or that you can't be a gamer and own a Wii, but I think that it's foolish of you to downplay ps2 sales by saying that they wouldn't have gotten where they are without price cuts.
Well I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I wasn't trying to disrespect the Wii or any of your oppinions so hopefully no one took offense.
Well has the Wii reached 100 million? It's a hell of a lot closer to 100 million than the ps3, but has the Wii reached 100 million?
Seriously, stop trying to down play Sony and their milestones. No other console maker has had a console even approach the 100 million barrier, and just to be clear, we're talking about consoles so don't come in here quoting your gameboy and ds statistics.
Wow maybe you guys should learn how to read, I said "consoles" not handhelds.
@Product
really, are you really about to play the price cut card. So now I guess we should place an asterisk by playstation 2's sales figures because it had a price cut within its first two years right.
Well maybe we should put an asterisk by the Wii too, how many sales do you think the Wii would have if you only counted actual gamers. That's right, not people...
Wow! you're trying really hard aren't you?
