Yeah it shouldn't take 20 Legendary core crystals to get one rare blade. It should be coded into the game that you are guaranteed a rare blade every 10 Legendary core crystals used.

Why would this be in anyone's backlog? If u have this game and the system it's on it should be your top priority. I've put over 550 hours into this gem and haven't even come close to 100% completion.
I guarantee that IF we get a more powerful Switch it won't be until the end of 2020, which I would be fine with. It makes sense since the summer olympics are in Japan that year. Easy for Nintendo to get a lot of global advertising.
