I played the original 20 years ago and don't remember much of the story at all so it was pretty much new to me. Anything changed related to the story would go right over my head.
Had my Switch 2 since launch and think it's great. The line up of 1st party games isn't great YET but we know it'll be great in the coming years. I've been playing more 3rd party on it so far with Dragon Quest VII reimagined and currently on my 3rd playthrough of Resident Evil Requiem, also hoping for DLC for Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment. My most anticipated 1st party games are the new Xenoblade and Zelda.
They picked an inconvenient time to drop this. I'm finishing up Dragon Quest VII reimagined and then I've got Resident Evil Requiem to play next week. I'll replay X in about a month or so but that 60 fps looks great.
The "worst" Xenoblade game is still better than 95% of games out there. Xenoblade 2 is my favorite rpg ever. All the Xenoblade games have incredible characters, soundtracks, voice acting, stories, world design and combat (save for Xenoblade 1 whose combat, while good, is not incredible).
Hope this is true. I'll gladly replay this game with maybe some new content.
The odds of that happening are basically 0.
Probably. After how well those 2 games sold I doubt they'll ever go back to the more traditional style games. Doesn't matter to me which one they make.
They had a central role in developing Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Resident Evil Requiem and Dragon Quest VII Reimagined are my 2 most anticipated. Wish Dragon Quest XII was coming out next year for the series' 40th anniversary but that doesn't seem to be happening.
I was talking about the world and monster design being unique, not the character models. Guess I should have made that clearer.
Saying X looks less unique is not something I ever expected to read. I think the character models look quite a bit better in the Switch version (not that I thought they looked bad in the Wii U version). The world and monster design are some of the best I've ever seen in video games though I'll still give a slight edge to Xenoblade 2's world design. Leftherian Archipelago is my favorite location in any video game from a visual standpoint followed closely by endgame of Xenoblade 1. ...
I just beat the final boss in II on Draconian a few days ago. Definitely needed a lot of grinding but it was satisfying.
Hopefully this will lead to full performance patches of all the Xenoblade games on Switch 2.
Surprised there'd be 17 playable characters. Figured they might stretch it to 15.
Just got the boat in II last night.
12 hours into I remake. Boss fights on hard mode are no joke.
I have seen no one say the next Smash isn't coming until 2029. Who's your source?
The Xenoblade games deserve way higher sales numbers than they get.
2 is my favorite in the series even though it's the one I have the most issues with.
Makes sense. It's been nearly 3 years since the DLC for 3 came out. The next Xenoblade or whatever they end up calling it will probably come out next year.
