This is a great price for any core model upgrade.
I'd like to see prices stay in this range. It's reasonable and a good competitive value.
I wonder if newer, higher capacity drives are being introduced.

In my opinion they're at a real short-term disadvantage right now, especially if there are more weeks of $299 PS3's in the US before an XBox price cut.
The 3 steps are just what their tactics usually are long-term, making them likely to stay in it for a 3rd generation.
I for one welcome the competition...it makes gaming better for every single gamer here.

Microsofts plan when approaching and dominating a market is usually in 3 stages.
Stage 1 is generally not started without the usual Gen-1 hitches or short-term profitability.
Stage 2 is the break-even/market share stage. That's where the 360 is right now.
Stage 3 is when everything that worked in 1 & 2 are combined, times 3 and either fails miserably or more often crushes competitors.

Forza has more arcade gameplay.
GT5:Prologue is more of a driving simulation.
Which is more fun depends on what you like to play or just your mood. They both are great.
Since Forza is just up to version 2 it will be great to see how Forza 3 compares to the full GT 5. Either way, they are both the best of the best in driving games.
Want even more realism now? Get a steering wheel for GT5...it makes a big difference.
