You get what you pay for?
An old euphemism that has nothing to do with anything we where discussing?

Here's the reality of 'You get what you THINK you pay for'
$10 wine relabel $90 taste better.
The same advice is relied upon more when bought than free.
The same $0.10 pills relabeled $2.50 are more effective.

The news is directly from Sony, Not Kotaku.
PDF: http://www.sony.net/SonyInf...

The significant difference is:

Sony states they will report customers that have purchased and own the PS3

Microsoft reports retailers or distributors with Xbox360's available for purchase.

The MS system can give you more 'flexibility' in reporting sales figures...you...

Jason, that was F*kking hilarious!

I know it's against my better judgment, I don't support console wars, and MGS is incredible, cutscenes & all, BUT...

I simply can't in good conscience NOT give you an agree & a bubble for that comment...

"...Snake watches 90min cutscene, then 90min cutscene."

YOU'RE the hot chick with that roll of pre-printed UPC codes!

Hows that 42" plasma screen doing?
I can't believe it rang up for only $14.97.

Always the low price...Always!

( Just like iHeartSony sez: by any means necessary ;)

The first thing in the article after the introduction is:

"Update - 06/27/08: The Unicorn says Wal-Mart called her today and offered to cancel the order!

Update - 06/26/08: The Unicorn posted a slight correction after we published this story: "hey, just to clarify — after Chris (I think) responded to my email re: the Terms of Service issue, I doublechecked my bank account & the funds haven't actually been withdrawn yet."

Always.

What in the world would "by any means necessary" mean? A gun to their suppliers head? Forced to sell at a loss...or at a contract the supplier themselves negotiated, signed, & agreed to?

For each supplier failure that's trotted out every time the companies name comes up there are thousands of successes.

Of course Wal*Mart get's their items as cheaply as possible, so does every other retailer...
Care to make a point about every...

Wal*Mart isn't for everyone...it's not where I'd buy most electronics either and your saving can vary depending on what you like.

I think your comment makes the reasons very clear. It depends on many things, like the occasional bad associate. You'll find them anywhere, but since Wal*Mart is so much larger, you'll always seem to find more there.

The best, unbiased reference I can think of is a CNBC special "The Age Of Wal*Mart" (because the other two, One Al...

let's you feel that people shopping at another store deserve less?

I guess that's the same reason why you think fact's are a rant, because you'd rather not hear them...they might make you think.

Happy Tree Friends is great, and this sounds like a good formula but with frustrating game play issues.

One of the things in Lemmings was each level had different types of tools, for instance blocking so the other Lemmings would stop and turn around from that point.

Just having a generic action button greatly diminishes the strategy & skill, which is probably why the other frustrating issues are there.

That's really too bad, because everything else l...

First, if you read this story, the persons card was NOT charged...Consumerist just pimped another sensationalist headline for site-hits. I'm surprised they didn't include a poll on whether the PS3 would arrive too dusty to unpack or something.

About Wal*Mart - Tisk Tisk?
The manufacturer of a product that is sold for $3.50 at Wal*Mart, but for $5.00 at RetailerX gets nothing more...

and by 'they' I'm referring to the deficient, dejected, miserable type that actually disagreed with criticism of DX F3NIX comment.

Eternally bitter, enjoying others anguish to distract them from their own, quickly ridiculing others to desperately prop up themselves...

...and as consistent as the clock of an empty life ticking out each remaining painful second, they treat others with as little respect as they have for themselves.

A $ $ H O L E !

How could you make a statement like that about the tragedy of this family?

Did you feel it was no worse than some tragedy in your own family...Like your parents disappointment in you for being someone who could belittle this families loss?

If you're not very, very ashamed then you are welcome to as much pity as you can bear.

I personally saw a secondhand fax of a photocopy of my wifes girlfriends brothers sisters roommates cousins fathers former real-estate agent/exotic dancers leaked list of firmware 3.6 and it Teleports and does EVERYTHING else listed here.

It also has an advanced 360 emulator which uses only one spu. When asked if this was possible, Sony engineers said "Of Course! How many would we need to just blink 3 lights?"
(see the E3 presentation slide, here!)

Overall I agree with you, I think they sneer universally.

They do occasionally repackage actual news from reputable/industry sites which is great.

I think Kotaku's like ordering a good glass of Iced Tea, but all you're served is Whine.

Valid?
Is any review for anything on any platform valid where the person conveniently fails to mention what version they are reviewing, and criticizes something that's not even released for review?

They also say it looked like the person who owned the PS3 never used it, so what are we talking about, a 2007 version, never updated?

Timing?
...Also, what interesting timing...Considering a new version of the beta was JUST released, yet this version was 'never...

I mean, if we just get on with the whole World War 3 (to be written WWiii, after the console wars that started it) we can avoid yet ANOTHER WWII Call of Duty game.

Sure billions will die, but just think of how fantastic those post apocalyptic games will be for our descendants & evolutionary inheritors of this planet!

The OTHER holy scriptures of marketing:
