I hope you had Best-Buy price match to get a $100 gift card from them.
They announced they would match Wal*Mart's deal last week.
If you didn't, go back, they will retroactively price match within 30 days of purchase.
It is too good of a deal . . . I believe they are clearing out these models before higher capacity models are introduced at E3, these may even be starting at 299.
But not move ONE single extra console?
Have you SEEN the reports that every single retailer with MGS bundles is sold out?
I like seeing this competition!
It ends up with lower prices & better games for all of us.

It does take a certain integrity to provide a quality product & cancel ones that don't live up to the standards of your reputation.

You're also mistaken about frame buffer/Photoshop image comparisons.
Though terminology may vary, the technology behind many common scaling methods originated with still-frame raster image processing research. The most common techniques are NOT different technologies as you are stating, they are simply operating on an image in different mediums.

Especially how far they have developed Forza, just looking at versions 1 & 2. Clearly they focused on coming as close to the GT experience as they could, and succeeded in just about everything.
I think just from the perspective of competitors, Forza will stay on the 360 & GT on the PS3.
Either way, each platform has a great driving experience.
Your local Best Buy really doesn't have a choice.
It was an official announcement of the corporate offices, unless that was reported here incorrectly.
I'd contact the regional or district manager. A store manager may not want to give you a $100 gift card, so discouraged you from getting it. I've found Best Buys customer service to be, at best, very variable including interpreting the requirements of an offer. You may just have gotten the wrong representative.
