Quite the opposite for me. Almost every gamestop I went to got rid of their vita display and only have an XB1 or PS4 display.
Looking back at the PSP, there was a lot of heavy weights driving it sales. The MH series sold 10m units, GoW series 4m units, GTA series 3m units and GT sold 4m units. The PSV lacks these titles plus its up against tablets and cellphone which are in more demand today than during the PSP era.
If exclusive what someone is looking for then I would just wait rather than jumping the gun and feeling buyer's remorse.
However if someone truly wanted a console for Christmas then going with either one really won't suffer any shortcomings. Both consoles has a decent selection of games that should keep you busy until those exclusive you're looking for comes out.
Consoles are a easier choice for the average consumer than PC's.
Also Nintendo need to approach more developers before making a new console like Sony did with the PS4. If not then what happen with the WiiU during previous years will repeat itself.
I just wish these publishers would be fined for pulling stunts like this or have sales of these buggy games halted until the game is fully fixed. At least then the publishers would think twice when releasing a game.
I never got the appeal to this game either. Bungie was one few developers that's known for giving its fan a great story and great MP. Destiny to me fail to meet that standard.
Destiny had content that was cut and not to mention on-disk dlc. Hell if this had been Ubisoft, Capcom or EA, people would've thrown them under the bus.

I believe it was a business that MS needed to enact in order to push more X1 units. Which by the way isn't a bad thing. However I always thought the X1 SKU without the kinect should cost $349 instead of $399. Especially given the Kinect(for X1) cost $149.
Sadly I never got the chance to play either Shenmune or Soul Calibur :(

Capcom in my opinion should want to sell as many copies as possible. Sure the PS4 is the top dog when it comes to sales but not every PS4 owner like the fighting genre or will pick up the SF5 when it comes out.
However if this move will keep Capcom in business longer then more power to them.
I sure hope so after what happen to their office last year.

No need to be sorry. The partly fault lies with Sony. They are not supporting their handheld like they should. That and more people are opting for smartphones and tablet for their mobile/handheld gaming. More publishers are putting their resources towards iOS/android game development rather than PSV&3DS development.
Mainly because we can't be certain. 2015 can be anyone's game.
I think someone is looking way too deep into this. These traits could be attach almost any fighting character in a different game.
Most games haven't been this terrible. Just when things was starting to look up for Sega with Colors, Generation and Sonic 4 episodes. I would've thought Sega bad days were over but I was wrong.
There's plenty of "10 reasons reasons why PS4 is a great console."
Hell about every month you see at least one "10 reasons" opinion piece they have for almost every console.

Only if Sega had use its money wisely. They would've been able to stay in the console race much longer.
