No one is going to buy a game that is 6 months late, and lacks DLC of the other versions. Not to mention hype was a huge selling point of Watch Dogs and all of that was lost by the time it came out on Wii U.
There's no way of telling whether Wii U owners would buy third party support because it has never been done correctly on Wii U. There's always something. Lateness, high price, glitches, lack of parity, just plain being a bad game, and more.
I'm looking forward to KH3 whether it comes to Wii U or not.
Dang Nintendo get your online together! Charge for online and make sure your next online launch doesn't work..... In fact, start now by releasing Zelda right now unfinished. I WANT THAT GAME LOOKING LIKE SKYRIM, STAT!
I'll wait for post holiday official sales data
Splatoon.
Pay attention for once.
"Nintendo makes no new IPs!"
Even after Splatoon and Codename S.T.E.A.M. people still say this. If you don't care about Splatoon or Codename S.T.E.A.M. then stop asking for new IPs and ask for something more specific. For example: "I want Nintendo to make a game that is just like GTA except with new characters".
That's honestly what you guys seem to want.
What Miyamoto is saying is quite true. It's just that fanboys are reading the headline and overreacting. What do you see on the other systems? The content between developers is becoming increasingly similar. Then you see Nintendo, with games like Pikmin 3, Splatoon, and Project STEAM. Games that play nothing like other games in the industry. They are almost like a "big indie".
Of course Miyamoto would look at these games as boring. He is the mind behind some of...
It's a Wii U game. We can't have news going around of a Rated M game selling well on Wii U. It'll ruin the perception that Wii U is a kiddy console.
Add more variety to Wii U's lineup. It has a lot of stuff already, just add more and more to get more people to buy it.
Oh, Nintendo... Even when you win, you lose.
Splatoon! It's looking to be the most original shooter of the year, and it's being ignored by everyone, even the people ASKING for unique new IPs, paradoxically.
PC is already giving what Sony/MS gamers will have next gen.
Facts are facts. Unfortunately, the stereotype will live on.
He also used as an example that the Gamepad will allow them to make an explorable world like the original Legend of Zelda, while making it more intuitive with a Gamepad map. (And also being able to sell to 100% of the install base, sorry, PSVita/iPads don't cut it!)
I love how people just made fun of CoD on Wii U.
"Lol, only 5 people play that"
Now that it's gone, people are acting like people who were on the fence about Wii U just lost their reason to buy it. People do not buy Wii U consoles for CoD.
We don't need Snake if we aren't even getting his latest game.
It's coming to every platform, even PS3/360, so there's no excuse. Sorry Kojima.
Don't put many resources. We all know that gamers just want the PS3/360 experience with better graphics.
At least it doesn't interrupt the gameplay like ads on phones.
At least Nintendo's games look the way they do at E3, and focus on good, tactile game design...
Whoever posted that is a moron. Post it on your own Twitter account...
The Wii U Gamepad does improve third party games. It also improves old games like Wind Waker HD. The Gamepad functionality of WWHD made WWHD a completely superior version to the original.
There are so many third party games that could benefit from the Wii U Gamepad, but as this article says, it's just about making bigger explosions and graphics. That is modern video game innovation. Gamers just want to blow things up in an open world.
